Hi everyone, I’m new to the Apple Developer side of things and I want to make sure I’m handling this correctly. I hired a freelance iOS developer to build my app. I have my own Apple Developer account (Individual), and I want the app published under my account. The developer says he needs me to create a Certificate Signing Request (CSR), then he will generate the distribution certificate on his end and send me the .cer file back. From there, he would use that for signing and submitting the app. My questions: 1. Is this the correct and modern way to handle app signing? 2. Should I instead just add him to my App Store Connect account with Developer access and let him manage signing through Xcode? Dev claims this won’t work, which I haven’t been able to prove or disprove. ChatGPT says it does,but other AI tools says it doesn’t. 3. Is there any risk in sharing certificates like this? 4. What is considered best practice in 2026 for working with freelancers while keeping full control of the account? My goal is simple: • The app stays fully under my Apple Developer account. • I retain long term control. • The developer can build and submit without needing my Apple ID or password. I’m not trying to make things complicated, I just want to do this the right way and avoid issues later. Thanks in advance.

I tried to enroll some weeks ago, went thru the whole process, it eventually took by IDs, but now I'm stuck on "Enrollement not completed - You enrollment in the Apple Developper pogram could not be completed at this time." So, after 2 weeks, what's next ?

Hey everyone, I'm beyond excited to share that I've been selected as a Distinguished Winner in this year's Swift Student Challenge! 🎉 It all started last summer, in the middle of a Western Culture class. I was zoning out , and my attention drifted to the Apple Pencil in my hand. And then ,it hit me — this thing is literally a next-level game controller. Think about it: pixel-perfect precision, haptic feedback, multiple built-in sensors... Why aren't we using this for gaming? And that got me thinking — why have we spent the last 500 years treating the "pencil" as just a tool for creation, and not for play? Since graphite pencils were invented in 1564, we've had this incredibly natural way to interact with 2D and 3D space... and nobody's fully tapped into it for games. So, I did something about it. I built a game that's 100% controlled by the Apple Pencil yep, just the Pencil. I know what you're thinking: "How does that even work??" And honestly, I'd love to tell you... but I'm in the final stages of getting it onto the App Store, and it should be live within the next couple of weeks. After checking the forum, it's clear that Apple has a MAJOR ONGOING PROBLEM here. We are far from the only company experiencing this, and it has been a problem for years. Apple, please FIX THIS! What's the problem? We receive an email reminding us to renew our developer account. All of Apple's instructions to renew do not work (with no explanation), and yet we are threatened with removal of our apps if we do not renew in time. Firstly, it should be unnecessary for us to manually renew because we registered a valid credit card to auto-renew. It worked last year, and the same credit card continues to be valid. Secondly, when we try to manually renew, there is no "Renew" button appearing anywhere, contrary to Apple's instructions. It's not in the Developer app (Mac or iOS), and it does not appear in the Developer account website. We now have only 16 days left until Apple kicks our app out of the App Store. @APPLE: We are not alone. Lots of your customers have the same problem, as reported on this forum for multiple years. This problem threatens the livelihoods of many people. Please fix this! Thank you.

I was experimenting with the screen time controls to see how it affected an app I am working on and I created a screen time passcode that I later forgot. Any fix? I can't find the "forgot passcode" button anywhere and I am now unable to turn off find my as a result.

After updating the Xcode 26, defined universal links are not working in the iOS simulator. In the configuration, we have verified all the things including AASA file hosting and domain configuration. It is working properly in the real devices. Issue occurring only for Simulators. How can I debug it in the simulators to validate this ? Xcode Version: 26.1 Simulator iOS: 26.1

Hello everyone, I am looking for advice or help from anyone who has experienced a similar situation. I enrolled in the Apple Developer Program as an organization under the name Mindzone Technologies on Monday, December 15, 2025. Since then, the enrollment status has remained in “processing” with no updates. After waiting several weeks, I contacted Apple Developer Support twice but have not received any response. First email was sent on Monday, January 19, 2026 (GMT+4) Second email was sent on Friday, January 23, 2026 (GMT+4) Category: Membership and Account, Program Enrollment At this point, it has been over 40 days since enrollment and more than 3 business days since the last support contact, despite Apple stating typical response times are much shorter. There has been no request for additional documents, no phone call for identity verification, and no explanation provided. This delay is blocking our ability to publish apps and proceed with business commitments. Has anyone else faced an enrollment delay of this length recently Is there a specific escalation path or action that actually helped resolve this Should I expect a phone verification call or is there something I should proactively request Any guidance from Apple staff or developers who managed to resolve a similar case would be greatly appreciated. For the last two weeks Time Machine has been unable to complete back up. It's throwing up the following: The error detail shows : The file does not exist in finder and have tried logging Mac out of iCloud and back in again but error remains. Any thoughts much appreciated.

Hi all, I just submitted my application to join the Developer Program. I went through the form, and got to the payment screen and filled out. I submitted and have received an "order acknowledgement" email, but I note that payment hasn't been taken, nor do I have any other emails regarding it. I understand my application can take a while to progress and it's still early days, but I'm concerned that it's stuck in limbo as payment hasn't been taken. With that and the notice on my account page that still reads: "Purchase your membership. To continue your enrollment, complete your purchase now Your purchase may take up to 48 hours to process." When I navigate to the payment screen again, I can see that there is no CVV field which my bank requires to accept payments. I'm wondering if anyone has had a similar issue and how they resolved or, even, if I have done something wrong during the application phase. Thanks!

This is unique situation, save your rhetoric calling me crazy unless you’re willing to look at the evidence I’ve collected over the last 2 years. My entire family is being stalked and harassed by a DOD Contractor named Galapagos Federal Systems. They are literally using our identities to and accounts they’ve created to run Amazon Marketplace Business Accounts as sellers. They have amended my tax returns and they have hijacked my domain, which is MauiEasyRiders.Com. It’s pretty easy to see that they’ve hikacked my domain as they are using more than 20 ports around the clock, and I had to walk away from my business of 15 years because of a DDoS attack that is literally impossible to escape. These people are the lowest of the low. They have 250 million dollars in DODcontracts and they are registered as a small section 8a Native Hawaiian owned business, regardless of the fact that the owner is not Hawaiian and not from Hawaii, and the business was formed in Delaware. Their headquarters is literally a house in a neighborhood with nothing but a big ass can in the driveway, no traffic, no offices, just spook government hacks. I’ve mailed a complaint to the DOD hotline, been to the FBI in person, filled out all the forms online for every possible agency, filed police reports, nobody will even glance at the data I’ve accumulated and meticulously detailed, both in pdf format and on paper. They’re using my mothers identity and the identities of my two adult sons. It’s ridiculous. I literally have 90 Ip addresses in my DNS Leak Test and my home WiFi is hosting 190 IP Addresses. They have a Cisco business account in my name with over two hundred ASA and Fire IO devices that are years out of date. I have their exploit data, names, email addresses, absolutely everything I could possibly need that anyone investigating fraud would ask for, yet these parasites continue to carry out their crimes as if the law doesn’t apply to them. The only thing I have not tried is going to my Representatives from Washington in person. Anyone have any ideas? I’m happy to share data if anyone is interested in seeing it, even if you’re not interested in helping I’m happy to share all the info I can on their fraud. Thanks in advance!

Hi everyone, I am working on my submission for the Swift Student Challenge 2026 using a Swift App Playground (.swiftpm). The default project was set to iOS 16, but I manually edited the Package.swift file to change the minimum version to iOS 18.0 so I can use the latest APIs. I also modified the supportedInterfaceOrientations to lock the app to Portrait mode only. I know the file contains a warning saying "Do not edit it by hand," so I am worried about two things: Disqualification: Will manually changing the iOS version from the default 16.0 to 18.0 cause any issues with the submission validator or the judging environment? Orientation: Is it acceptable to strictly force .portrait mode for the challenge, or are we required to support landscape/responsive layouts for the judges' iPads? I want to make sure these manual changes won't technically invalidate my playground. Thanks for your help!

After latest beta firmware update 11.4, the screen is non or less responsive. Right before the update everything was working like a charm. Tried unpairing, total reset as a new watch, but nothing solves the problem

Hello Apple Developer community! While reading the SSC Full Terms and Conditions, I noticed that "Your app playground requires sign in" is a term for disqualification. If our app idea requires sign in for personalization and security, can we submit a prototype without the sign in feature and add it later before publishing the app? Or should we steer clear of app ideas that require sign in altogether?

My project requires the on-device apple intelligence models (FoundationModels) which are only available for iPad on iPad Pro M1 and later, iPad Air M1 and later, iPad mini A17 Pro. If they don't judge on one of these devices, my project might not work properly as FoundationModels is a pretty big part of my project. For this reason I really need to know what devices the Swift Student Challenge will be judged on.

Hello, My developer account was closed last week. In a conversation with Apple support, I was informed that the account was closed due to “inactivity”, but the account has always been in regular use and I was preparing to release an app last week. Now all my work is at a standstill because the account is “Acount Holder” and Apple Turkey Support team states that this account will never be reopened and that there is no support service for Developer account in Turkey. I asked for support for the Developer account globally, but they couldn't find it either. What can I do about this? My account was not inactive and I was constantly testing my apps via testflight and I submitted the latest version last week. Which department should I contact?
