I have an iPhone 12 mini and I am currently using it as a modem for my router. Previously it was running iOS 14, but the DHCP on iOS 14 doesn't work and Apple didn't fix it until iOS 15. Recently I upgraded the system to iOS 18.4 to get DHCP back, but I got a bigger problem. The iPhone will restart itself after 3 days, and then I just lost internet connection. The hotspot will not be turned on until I climbed on my bookshelf to unlock my phone. After I googled it, I found that it is a feature that Apple introduced in iOS 18.1. While I couldn't find any setting to turn it off. If this cannot be controlled by the user, then it is anyway a BUG than a feature.

Hi, I have an iPhone 15 Pro Max, model A2849, which according to Apple’s official specifications, supports eSIM. However, in the settings, there is no visible option to add an eSIM (see attached screenshot). There is no “Add Cellular Plan” or any other eSIM-related menu. I’ve already checked for software updates, restarted the device, and reset the network settings, but the issue remains. Has anyone experienced this issue or knows how to fix it? Dear Developer, it used to be that when you were inside a Message and you clicked on the person‘s name you could bring up photos, links, etc., and pretty much all the photos would be there…at least for many months if not longer. However, when the iOS updated to 18, all the pictures disappeared and now I would have to download the entire set of images from the iCloud to get to the ones I want. It used to be so easy to access the photos under the name, I wouldn’t have to go searching for them. Furthermore, it left the pictures inside messages rather than leaving a gray box with paper emblem, file name, size & download option. Yes I understand that I could save all the pictures to my actual photos app, but I don’t always want to, however, I do sometimes want to go back and reference a picture within a text and now I’m not able to do that. I’m not sure if that was to save on memory/space or if it was just an accident of the fix on iOS 18, but it has really taken away a lot of convenience and accessibility. My search function has also been taken away because the pictures are no longer available inside the text. Is there a way to fix this? Thanks.

I’m trying to register an Apple Developer Account for my company. I uploaded all the required documents, but my initial application was rejected, and I was asked to provide notarized translations of my documents. I translated them and submitted everything for review on April 1. After a week without a response, I contacted Apple Support. They replied that the documents had been received and were under review. However, as of today, April 24, my account is still under review. I’ve sent five follow-up emails to Support asking for a status update on my case, but I haven’t received any replies. Has anyone faced a similar situation and could suggest what I can do to get a status update and finally complete the registration? I’ve recently updated to ios 18.4.1 and I have problems with the internet. Things download painfully slow, an application that used to download in 10 seconds is now downloading in 2 minutes. Videos tend to stop at some point and when i fast forward them it stops to load a little when on the previous version it would work fine. It feels like my internet aged 30 years in 10 minutes. I’ve tried on other phones (not iphones) and it works just fine. Is it from the update or is it just my internet?

I have raised a support ticket regadring a concern I had with apple developer account. I got a respose via email, asking some more details. After that I have replied to the same mail thread with requested details. But I havent got any respose after that. I would like to is that the correct way of responding to support ticket ? Am I suppose to get the response for the same mail thread , after I reply ? or Every time I have open a new support tikcet ?

When i say “forgot password” in the app store it allows me to reset with passcode but when i enter the passcode it’s different than the one i enter when i unlock the phone. what would cause this issue?

I'm totally baffled by the changes Apple made on iOS18 about certificates usage in the built-in mail application. They decided that self-signed are not accepted any more, fine. As long as you can install your own root CA and trust it, it should be fine. But NO! They have also decided that mail will only accept IMAP servers using a domain name, no more just and IP address. So you can't get any IP-based certificate that will be accepted by the mail app, even with the right SAN and al. I've tried two "identical" certs, one with a domain and one with an IP and the domain works while the IP fails, being rejected as non-valid by the app. The most funny part is that the IP cert is good enough to configure mail (can see the successful login), but is being rejected when reading emails. I'm really fed up with the "Apple police" that wants to push us not using our own storage anymore. My se case is simple, I have an IMAP server that is used by family to archive all emails and keep them organized, saved forever and away from being scanned. I need to access that server either when locally connected or through VPN. For VPN, I use split tunnels because I don't want all traffic to go to tunnel. Nor do I want to create my own local DNS server and have all VPN clients use such DNS server only for the sake of having a domain name for the IMAP server. Nor do I want to open an external port to redirect to my IMAP server (that works of course as then I can use DDNS ...). Talk about increased security! This is insane

I'm running into issues with iOS respecting the HTTP 410 "Gone" response type. Setup: Using the native iOS Calendar app, add a new subscription calendar. "Add Subscription Calendar" Add the URL of a ICS calendar subscription that you control, e.g. https://mywebsite.com/userfeeds/23/cal.ics Make sure to select the "Account" option and choose "On My iPhone/iPad". Set the query amount to 15 mins. Calendar events show as expected, device queries the latest updates from the server every 15 minutes. Server returns HTTP 200 with the .ics contents. Now, assume there is a need for the feed to end - maybe the user unsubscribed to mywebsite.com. There is currently no way for the mywebsite.com server / response to tell the device the feed has ended and it should stop requesting. If the user forgets to go to calendar and manually unsubscribe the device will continually ping the server every 15 minutes indefinitely. It's turning into a virtual DoS for my platform. iOS should respect the HTTP 410 "Gone" header or something similar. If the server returns a HTTP 410 response code for https://mywebsite.com/userfeeds/23/cal.ics X amount of times, the feed should be automatically removed. I've opened several tickets over the last 3 years and have not even had a status change on the tickets. Does anyone know how to resolve this or a work around?

OS macOS 15.4.1 What steps will reproduce the problem? (0) Make sure you have other third-party browsers on your computer, and that their names start with a letter before "M", for me it is Arc browser. (1) Install a previous version of Edge Mac Canary (it can be downloaded from official web site:https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/edge/download/insider?cc=1&cs=426423789&form=MA13FJ). If you don't have an older version, you can download and save the current version, and then try the below steps after a day or two. (2) Eject the DMG from the Finder Sidebar. (3) Switch to the System Settings panel, set the "Default web browser" as Edge Mac Canary just installed. (4) Click a URL link from Notes, it will open in Edge Mac Canary. (5) Navigate to "Settings"->"About Microsoft Edge" in Edge and wait for the update information to show that update is complete (it will auto update to the latest version). (6) Check current result of "Default web browser" in System Settings again. What is the expected result? The "Default web browser" should still be Edge Canary. What happens instead? The "Default web browser" in System Settings will change to Arc. But this time, when you click the link from Notes, it will open in Safari, which means that "Default web browser is shown as Arc, but it is actually Safari. It is worth noting that if you start Edge Mac in step (3) and then set it as Default Browser in the "edge://settings/defaultBrowser" page, this problem will not occur after the update is completed. I‘m getting tired of having to reinstall apps because of the amount of datas. I deleted alot of photos. Deleted apps. The thing that gets my storage full is the System data. I searched up for tutorials, it was full with clearing safari history or deleting old messages, offloading apps. I did them all, none of them decreased my system data and its at 12GB while my phone‘s GB is only up to 64GB. I use IOS 16 Iphone 11. Can someone help?

Ever since last weeks 18.5 beta update, the Deltek Vision T&E app no longer opens. I did the next update last night, still not working. I've deleted the app, restarted phone, re-installed, still the same behavior. When you open the app, it just spins and nothing ever happens, don't get to login screen or anything.

My imessage has been acting up for 1 month now. It fails to activate my phone number and prefers my email. This is a beta issue Apple support has told me and it needs fixing asap.

Hi, Having a weird issue that I’m noticing on Apple TVs with some apps that are by the same company. I think it’s storing residual user data if if you delete the app and all other apps relating to this. I have even tried deleting every app and reinstalling but we found two apps to be still logged in. Seams like a sandboxing bug and I presume it’s to do with App data stored in the shared app groups. I can only reset the apple tv to remove the user data. The two apps we can see are being persistent is Binge and Kayo by streamotion. We have tried problem solving this in every way imaginable but it’s Interesting that this is allowed to happen on an Apple platform. There is no active user logged into the apple TV with an Apple ID either

Installed update on Monday night and since then keep losing Network connection despite resettting Network connections and iphone. Comes back for a short time after rsetting then is lost with nothing showing under Mobile Service.

About a month ago (somewhere around the release of iOS 18.4.1 and MacOS 15.4.1) I started having issues with the iPhone Mirroring app, saying that it's unable to connect to iPhone, although it worked seamlessly before. Currently running 15.5 Beta 3 on a Mac Studio M4. I am unable to read/write to my Home folder from most of my applications. I receive an error basically saying I do not have access rights to the file/folder. If I go to the file directly and open it, it works. I have repaired disk permissions, checked the Sharing & Permissions settings via Get Info, and finally called Apple. Of course, since I am running the beta, the support was quite limited. I will add that I am also unable to open .dmgs that have been downloaded to my Downloads folder. I receive the "The disk image couldn’t be opened. The operation couldn’t be completed. Operation not permitted" error. If I copy the .dmg to another drive, I can open it from there.
