The "com.apple.developer.web-browser" entitlement has no effect on our iOS app
Hi, I was sent here by Apple developer account, it seems here is the only option for me, so your help is very much appreciated! Basically we are building a chromium based browser on iOS, we applied the "com.apple.developer.web-browser" entitlement, and it shows up in our identifier, profile etc. The app is signed with the new entitlement and published to the app store. However it is not listed as an option for default browser, doesn't matter which device I tried. I did verified that the Info.plist contains http/https urlschemes as required. In fact a few of us checked all available documents multiple times and still couldn't see why.

Possible bug in Capability Requests tab
Hello, Recently our team requested the "Notification (NSE) filtering" capability. Our request was rejected but we sent a new request with a more detailed explanation of our need. However if we go check the status of the request in the Capability Requests tab the status is "No requests". We sent the new request yesterday. Is it even possible to request a capability after a rejected request? We really need the capability and the absence of it is blocking our progress.

Does NETunnelProvider (Packet Tunnel) require a special entitlement for App Store VPN apps?
I’m working on an iOS VPN app and looking into using NETunnelProvider (Packet Tunnel) for the VPN implementation. From the documentation it seems that Packet Tunnel is required for VPN protocols like OpenVPN, but the Packet Tunnel capability doesn’t appear to be available by default. Does using NETunnelProvider / Packet Tunnel require a special entitlement to be enabled by Apple for App Store apps? If so, what is the general process for requesting or enabling that entitlement?

When to notarize artifacts developed in different stages?
Dear Apple Support, for better understanding to use the Notary Service, I would like to ask when and what have to be notarized. I am absolutely aware of using the Notary Service and which packages can be submitted and how to get the status. Scenario: We have one library which is developed by a specific team and other teams develop and deliver to customer MacOS apps which packages this library for the shipment. So, the library will be produced internally and will be shipped in different products. The library will be code signed before we make available internally. When should we notarize (and staple) this library? Directly after the code is signed or when it will be packaged in each product when it will be delivered to customer? Best regards, Stefan

Need help with code signing.
My app designer cannot sign his code changes. He says the only way he can sign his code is for me to give him my Admin privileges. I have revoked and recreated my certificate, hoping to get a private passkey, but there was no private passkey issued with the certificate. Help, please?

Account Shows to "Enroll" again after I submitted Mac app for Notarization
I submitted a mac app for Notarization. For the first few tries the Notarization failed with an error "Team is not yet configured for Notarization" but few days after my account started to show "ENROLL" option again even though my membership was set to expire on 2026. I am doubting my account has been suspended. I have not received any emails from apple regarding the suspension. I have contacted support but no help yet ! This was the second year, i was paying for the membership. Could you please help me to - Help me get the account unsuspended (if it is, as there is no notification or information regarding this) If the account is suspended due to my app being submitted for Notarization then help me identify the reason so that i can fix them. Mac App is Time Tracking application that runs in background and capture periodic screenshot(NOTE - I am doing this after taking user consent)

Title: Push notifications not working on iOS – aps-environment missing in signed app with manual Codemagic signing
Hi everyone, I’m having trouble getting remote push notifications working on iOS for a production Flutter app, and it looks like it’s related to the provisioning profile / entitlements used during signing. Context Platform: Flutter Push provider: OneSignal (backend is Supabase; Android push works fine) CI: Codemagic Target: iOS TestFlight / App Store builds I’m on Windows, so I cannot open Xcode locally. All iOS builds happen via Codemagic. Capabilities / entitlements In the Apple Developer portal, my App ID for com.zachspizza.app has: Push Notifications capability enabled A separate Broadcast capability is listed but currently not checked. In my repo, ios/Runner/Runner.entitlements contains: xml aps-environment production So the project is clearly requesting the push entitlement. Codemagic signing setup For my App Store workflow (ios_appstore_release in codemagic.yaml ): I use a combination of manual and automatic signing: Environment variables can provide: P12_BASE64 + P12_PASSWORD (distribution certificate) MOBILEPROVISION_BASE64 (a .mobileprovision file) A script in the workflow: Creates a temporary keychain. Imports the .p12 and installs the .mobileprovision into ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles. For the final export, I generate an exportOptions.plist that does: If a profile name/UUID is provided via env (PROV_PROFILE_SPEC, PROV_PROFILE_UUID, PROVISIONING_PROFILE_SPECIFIER, PROVISIONING_PROFILE): xml signingStylemanual provisioningProfiles com.zachspizza.app[profile name or UUID] Otherwise, it falls back to: xml signingStyleautomatic After archiving and exporting, my script runs: bash codesign -d --entitlements :- "$ARCHIVE_PATH/Products/Applications/Runner.app" ... and again on the signed Runner.app inside the exported IPA codesign -d --entitlements :- "$SIGNED_APP" In both cases, the effective entitlements output does not show aps-environment, even though: The App ID has push enabled. Runner.entitlements includes aps-environment = production. Observed behavior iOS devices (TestFlight build) do not receive remote push notifications at all. Android devices receive notifications as expected with the same backend payloads. OneSignal configuration and backend are verified; this appears to be an APNs / signing / entitlements problem. The Codemagic logs strongly suggest that the provisioning profile being used for signing does not carry aps-environment. Questions Under what conditions would a distribution provisioning profile (for an App ID with Push Notifications enabled) result in a signed app without aps-environment, even when: The entitlements file in the project includes aps-environment, and The App ID in the Developer portal has Push Notifications enabled? Does using a CI flow like the above (custom .p12 + .mobileprovision installed via script, exportOptions with signingStyle=manual) increase the chances of: Xcode ignoring the requested entitlements, or Selecting a provisioning profile variant that does not include the push entitlement? Is there a recommended way, from the Apple side, to verify that a given .mobileprovision (the one I’m base64-encoding and installing in CI) definitely includes the aps-environment entitlement for my bundle ID? i.e., a canonical method to inspect the profile and confirm that APNs is included before using it in CI? Are there any known edge cases where: The project entitlements include aps-environment, The App ID has Push Notifications enabled, But the final signed app still has no aps-environment, due to profile mismatch or signing configuration? Given that I’m on Windows and can’t open Xcode to manage signing directly, I’d really appreciate guidance on how to ensure that the correct push-enabled provisioning profile is being used in this CI/manual-signing setup, and how to debug why aps-environment is being stripped or not applied. CodeMagic Signing/Export Step: Signing / entitlements output from Codemagic Dumping effective entitlements for Runner.app in archive... /Users/builder/clone/build/ios/archive/Runner.xcarchive/Products/Applications/Runner.app: code object is not signed at all Failed to dump entitlements Exporting IPA with exportOptions.plist... 2025-11-20 22:25:00.111 xcodebuild[4627:42054] [MT] IDEDistribution: -[IDEDistributionLogging _createLoggingBundleAtPath:]: Created bundle at path "/var/folders/w2/rrf5p87d1bbfyphxc7jdnyvh0000gn/T/Runner_2025-11-20_22-25-00.110.xcdistributionlogs". 2025-11-20 22:25:00.222 xcodebuild[4627:42054] [MT] IDEDistribution: Command line name "app-store" is deprecated. Thanks in advance for any help and pointers.

Notarization stuck on “In Progress” for hours
Hi everyone, I’m trying to notarize a macOS app for direct distribution in Xcode. The upload finished, but the notarization has been stuck on “In Progress” for hours. I’m not getting any emails or errors, and the status log in Organizer only shows the same “In Progress” message without any extra details. I tried reopening Organizer and creating a new archive, but it always ends up in the same state. Is this normal, or is there something I should check on my side? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

Problems with new Developer ID certificate
My Developer ID certificate will expire in few days, so I downloaded and installed new certificate in login keychain. However my key is still linked to my old certificate. I have my .p12 but even if I delete the old certificate from login keychain and reinstall the .12 file, my old certificate reappears in the login keychain. I tried to select the new certificate in the login keychain and choose Files > Export Items (in Keychain Access) but in the Save dialog under File Format the "Personal Information Exchange (.p12)" option is grayed out. How can I generate a key/.p12 file that will be linked to my new certificate?

notary tool consistently delay for 1 of my app even it already accepted multiple times
Hi, I recently got a consistent delay from notary tool. I have viewed all your suggestions and understand that it "occasionally" will have further review and take longer time, but then it will be faster. However, in my case, my app although is accepted many times. It is still significantly delay. It is a native macOS app called ConniePad. Whenever I submit, it took me 2 days or more to finish notarise, which significantly affect my business. Could you please have a look on it. Cannot launch an app sucessfully stapled and validated
Hey, when I try to launch my app it prompts me with a "Apple could not verify" popup. The thing is the app has been signed and stapled. xcrun stapler validate .app for my app returns "The validate action worked!" If I also run syspolicy_check distribution .app it returns: "App passed all pre-distribution checks and is ready for distribution" Any idea?

Missing com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification Entitlement in Provisioning Profile
Hello Everyone, I am currently building an app using React Native with Swift bridging, integrating VoIP functionality using Twilio, PushKit, and CallKit. I am encountering the following issue during development: "The current provisioning profile doesn't include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement." What I’ve Done So Far: VoIP Certificate: I have created a valid VoIP Services certificate in the Apple Developer portal. Bundle Identifier and Provisioning Profile: A new Bundle ID was created specifically for this app. I created a provisioning profile for this Bundle ID and downloaded it for use in Xcode. Xcode Capabilities Push Notifications: Enabled Background Modes: Voice over IP: Enabled, Remote notifications: Enabled Entitlements File I have an entitlements file named VoiceCallDemoProjectRelease.entitlements with the following content: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>aps-environment</key> <string>development</string> <key>com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification</key> <true/> </dict> </plist> This entitlements file is properly linked in the project’s build settings. Project Setup I have integrated PushKit for VoIP push handling and CallKit for incoming call UI and control. Problem: In the Apple Developer portal under my App ID settings, I only see an option to enable Push Notifications. There is no option available to enable Voice over IP, and therefore the provisioning profile generated does not include the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement. Despite enabling VoIP background mode in Xcode, adding the entitlement in my project, and using a valid VoIP certificate, the profile does not include the required entitlement. Additional Information: I am using an Individual Apple Developer Account, not an Organization account. I have already attempted re-downloading the provisioning profile, restarting Xcode, and cleaning the build folder. Question: What steps should I take to resolve this and ensure that the com.apple.developer.voip-push-notification entitlement is included in my provisioning profile? Is this limitation due to the type of developer account (individual vs. organization), and do I need to upgrade to an Organization account to access this entitlement? Is there any way to request for 'com.appple.developer.voip-push-notification' entitlement to Apple Team ? Any clarification would be appreciated. Thank you.

Provisioning profile doesn't support the External Link Account capability
Hello, i have a problem. From one day to another i get following error (I never experienced this error with the same profile before) while trying to build and release my app via fastlane: exportArchive Provisioning profile "" doesn't support the External Link Account capability. Looking in the App developer website, it seems, that the existing and valid profile includes this capability. On the other side, inspecting the profile via xcode profile download, there is no hint that this capability is enabled. Any suggestions? Thanks!

App signing
trying to deploy the LotBot app to my physical device, rtd2, which is listed as a device in the App Developer Portal. when I create a provision file it is always for W246SX52AS, as seen in the developer portal, but from Xcode I am showing a app id of "Apple Development: Richard Dukes (86537MF8N2)". Message: I am unable to create a "Apple Development: Richard Dukes (W246SX52AS)" so I may deploy to the device and the App Store. I have signed out and back in to Xcode with my account but when creating the profile it is always the 86537MF8N2. 95E07D345D31D45E4589FA7EA6FDF161E079C100 "Apple Distribution: Richard Dukes (W246SX52AS)" 5AC76CE9331F80AE953C4C76FC21DE5C2416293E "Apple Development: Richard Dukes (86537MF8N2)" How can I get Xcode to use W246SX52AS? I have these help tickets open as well. case ID is 102678952862 case ID is 102678950460 I have been fighting this for a while. Please help me figure out to get this resolved.

I can't distribute the build to Testflight
Hi the best community! When I try to submit the app to Testflight I receive the following error: "codesign command failed (/var/folders/j9/yh_rkh114rbgvmglf4gycj8w0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~OW0Dwk/Root/Payload/Application.app/Frameworks/Alamofire.framework: replacing existing signature /var/folders/j9/yh_rkh114rbgvmglf4gycj8w0000gn/T/XcodeDistPipeline.~~~OW0Dwk/Root/Payload/Application.app/Frameworks/Alamofire.framework: invalid or corrupted code requirement(s) Requirement syntax error(s): line 1:155: unexpected token: NPH )" I have never stuck with this issue before. Verify an app before sending to Notary service
Hi, we are sending MacOS apps packaged in a ZIP archive or DMG disk image to the Notary Service. Before we send the app for notarization, we check the code signature via command codesign -vvv --deep --strict /path/to/app_or_bundle The result is positive and it does not provide any gaps. (And yes, we are following the inside out code signing approach, mentioned at Using the codesign Tool's --deep Option Correctly) Unfortunately, the result of the Notary service provided that one file has no signature, which was not detected by the signature verification command. The path of the binary was in <app_name>.app.zip/<app_name>.app/Contents/Resources/inst/<binary> How I can be verify like a the Notary service does it on our side? Best regards, Stefan
