I have "http://localhost:8080" showing the index page I've created but php is not handled though an extension is running.
Haven't even tried mySQL yet but since there is no reference to it in https.conf the same problem will exist. Homebrew extension running also.
https.conf:
#PHP was deprecated in macOS 11 and removed from macOS 12
#LoadModule php7_module libexec/apache2/libphp7.so
There are no php.so files on my machine and again no mention of mysql
What should I enter in http.conf to activate these functionalities?
Thanks.
PS could you reference a tutorial on using Safari and Web inspector
Hello,
I'm using Safari 18.2 on Sonoma 14.6.1.
I was using the Developer Tools to do a Local Request Override in the Source tab for a CSS file that had a changing query string. I thought I had a good regular expression to catch all variants, but apparently it was too generic and possibly wrong, and made both Source and Network tabs no longer work in my Safari.
The regular expression I entered for the Local Request Override was: //build/style.css(?.*)?$
Now my dev tools is broken to the extent that the Source and Network tabs no longer work. The slide-out panel on Source that shows Breakpoints, LocalOverrides, etc no longer shows. The toggle for it does, but does nothing now. UI in general looks a little wack on both tabs.
So, since I can't turn off the Local Request Override, I've been trying to locate where Safari may have stored it to manually delete it. Not having a lot of luck on that front.
It seems to me that Safari was unable to escape my regular expression correctly and it then causes additional issue. Just a guess though.
Any advice or help in getting Safari Source & Network working again / manual removal of the LocalOverride would be greatly appreciated. I'm fluent in OSX and Linux, but grep was not much help surfacing anything that worked.
Thanks in Advance, possibly a Safari bug as well.
Description
When creating an Apple ID via the web form, if the user’s chosen password contains their own name, the server correctly returns an error (e.g., "Password cannot contain your name") in the PUT request's JSON response. However, this error is not shown on the frontend, leaving users unaware of why the form silently fails or stalls.
Steps to Reproduce
Go to the Apple ID account creation page (https://appleid.apple.com/account).
Enter valid account details where the password includes the user's first or last name (e.g., Johnacb2331!l for a user named John Doe).
Complete all fields, including phone number verification and captcha.
Submit the form and monitor the Network tab in your browser’s DevTools.
Observe that the form appears to hang, loop, or silently fail.
Open the PUT request to /account — the response JSON will contain the relevant validation error (e.g., “Password cannot contain your name”), but the user is not shown this.
Expected Behavior
The password validation error (e.g., containing the user’s name) should be immediately displayed in the UI next to the password field to inform the user and allow for correction.
Actual Behavior
No error is shown in the UI. The form appears to fail silently, leaving the user confused. The actual reason for failure is only visible through browser developer tools in the PUT response payload.
Impact
This can lead to:
User frustration and confusion
Increased support overhead
Poor UX in a critical flow (account creation)
Environment
Browser: chrome 136.0.7103.114
Platform: Web (https://appleid.apple.com)
Date observed: 31/5/25
Suggested Fix
Ensure that password validation messages from backend responses surface in the frontend, especially for common user input issues like including names in passwords.
No screenshots as I can not create a new account

Hi everyone, i'm running into a problem with my personal domain being flagged as 'deceptive website' in safari, and i can't figure out how to fix it
Domain: neon0404.space
This is just my personal domain - i use it for adguard home, vaultwarden, some test stuff, sometimes small web tools for friends or family
Nothing illegal or malicious has ever been hosted there
On july 6, i launched a very simple web utility for a friend
when he opened it on ios safari, he got the red 'deceptive website warning'
I checked this on other different devices - all got the same warning
The next day (july 7) i submitted a review request via websitereview.apple.com, but got no reply
I did some digging and found that safari safe browsing daemon pulls data from google safe browsing, tencent safe browsing, and some apple's internal lists
So, going one-by-one
https://transparencyreport.google.com/safe-browsing/search showed up that domain is flagged for something shady
Signed up in google search console and saw my domain was flagged for 'malware links' (with no related urls listed), so looked like a false positive
I audited everything related to this domain on august 5 - nothing suspicious
Next day i requested a review in Google Search Console, just next day Google confirmed that everything is ok and removed the flag
So, i thought, maybe this was the key and requested another review via websitereview.apple.com (august 7)
No reply, domain still flagged
While i was waiting, i checked domain in Tencent (https://urlsec.qq.com/check.html) - no issues
Other services like VirusTotal, Norton and Sucuri showed up same result - no issues
I attempted to contact regular support (even though it's not their area of responsibility), but just in case
They, as expected, couldn't do anything
At this point it feels like a dead end, so i'm here
Has anyone been through this before?
Is there any other way to escalate the review process with apple?
Really appreciate any advice, as this domain is personal and linked to my username, which i want to use later
We're embedding the Power BI reports into our portal by using JS library. While testing them, we found that mobile layout of the reports don't work as we expect on iOS devices (tested in Chrome and Safari). There are two principals issues: 1) the site is automatically refreshed when the users filter the data (we reduced them to lower expression) and 2) the site also crashes after a while using the dashboard by applying different filters.
I have compiled some Java code to WebAssembly via TeaVM and wrapped it in a PWA. The resulting code runs nicely in Firefox and Chrome but throws an exception in Safari.
CompileError: WebAssembly.Module doesn't parse at byte 1657: invalid extended GC op 24, in function at index 2251
Can anybody tell me what's wrong with that code? I mean it can't be so bad if Firefox and Chrome can parse and run it without problems. I am using the most recent versions of all browsers and the offending code can be found here:
Run the demo via: https://mpmediasoft.de/demos/Emmentaler/Emmentaler-Demo-TeaVM-Wasm/index.html
The offending wasm file is: https://mpmediasoft.de/demos/Emmentaler/Emmentaler-Demo-TeaVM-Wasm/tvw/ModelBridgeTeaVM.wasm
With Safari the demo just shows some empty space instead of a complex polygon. You can see the error in the javascript console of Safari.

Hello Apple App Review Team,
We are using Privy to enable sign in with Farcaster in our app. Privy is a 3rd party authentication SDK, and it currently opens the authentication URL using the system browser.
Unfortunately, this behavior is handled internally by Privy and we do not have access or control to override it in order to present the sign-in flow in-app using SFSafariViewController.
We understand the importance of maintaining a seamless and secure user experience, and we fully support the use of SFSafariViewController or ASWebAuthenticationSession. However, since Privy does not expose an option to change this behavior at the moment, we are limited by their current implementation.
We have reached out to the Privy team requesting a change or improvement that would allow us to use SFSafariViewController instead of the external browser. In the meantime, we would appreciate your guidance on how to proceed, or whether an exception could be granted due to this 3rd party SDK limitation.
Thank you for your understanding and support.
I've been using Sign In with Apple for Web for the last six months, and it works well enough.
Now, I'm updating the domain of the main application (we got the .com! yeah!)
However, I can't find a way in the configuration UI to update the allowed redirect URLs for the application.
I go to Identifiers -> My App -> Capabilities -> Sign In with Apple -> Edit button.
It just allows me to edit whether this is a primary ID, or grouped ID, plus a callback URL (which I'm not currently using.)
(Error) When using Safari to access an internal website during development (using a self-signed certificate), may encounter issues where backend data fails to be retrieved.

I am encountering an intermittent issue with WKWebView in my iOS app. The problem occurs infrequently, but when it does, the WKWebView consistently displays a white screen and remains in this state until the app is forcefully terminated and relaunched.
To provide more context, here are the key characteristics of the issue:
The white screen problem occurs sporadically and is not easily reproducible.
The WKWebView remains unresponsive despite attempts to interact with it.
Reloading the webpage or navigating to a different URL does not resolve the white screen issue.
The problem persists until the app is terminated and relaunched.
This issue is specific to the WKWebView; other components of the app function correctly.
The WKWebView renders normally, and the main document synchronously loads resources both offline and online without any issues. The bridge and JavaScript execution also work as expected.
However, when interacting with the WKWebView, it becomes unresponsive to user clicks, and the web inspector fails to respond. Additionally, asynchronous network requests also do not receive any response.
The problem occurs exclusively on HTTPS pages, whereas HTTP pages load without any issues. Other components, such as workers, function correctly.
addUserScript injection during WKWebView creation is effective, and evaluateJavaScript during the page loading process works as expected. However, when the document becomes unresponsive, executing evaluateJavaScript only triggers the callback after the WKWebView is destroyed.
I have discovered a reliable method to reproduce the white screen issue in WKWebView. This method involves the following steps and conditions:
Create a WKWebView instance.
Load an HTML page using the loadRequest method(https url request).
Before the WKWebView is attached to the UI (not yet visible to the user), call the evaluateJavaScript function.
This issue has occurred in almost all iOS versions, including the latest iOS 17.x version.
The “Add to Home Screen” feature for bookmarks is not working in Safari on iOS 26.

When practicing a post request today I forgot to use the setvalue method. Why is this method important and needed for a post request? Don't we just encode the data to JSON and put that as the httpbody and make the request
struct SwiftUIWebView: View {
@State private var webPage = WebPage()
private let url = URL(string: "https://www.****.com/")!
var body: some View {
WebView(webPage)
.onAppear {
// URLを読み込む
webPage.load(URLRequest(url: url))
}
}
}
何か追加のコードが必要なのでしょうか?
A DNR rule with lower priority is being applied before a DNR rule of higher priority on Safari. Specifically, a low-priority DNR block rule that matches a request is being applied before a high-priority DNR redirect rule that matches the same request, preventing the redirect from occurring. The only way to get the high-priority redirect rule to occur is to remove the DNR block rule. This does not occur on other browsers.
I have already submitted a Feedback Assistant report about this bug: FB16535579
How to reproduce:
Create/install a web extension on Safari with the declarativeNetRequest and declarativeNetRequestWithHostAccess permissions
Open the Web Extension Background Content console and add a redirect rule with a high priority number. For example:
await chrome.declarativeNetRequest.updateDynamicRules({addRules: [
{id: 5000, condition: {urlFilter: "||www.google-analytics.com*/ga.js", resourceTypes: ["script"], domainType: "thirdParty"}, priority: 80, action: {type: "redirect", redirect: {url: “http://www.apple.com/”}}}
]})
Add a block rule of lower priority for the same urlFilter:
await chrome.declarativeNetRequest.updateDynamicRules({addRules: [
{id: 5001, condition: {urlFilter: "||www.google-analytics.com^", domainType: "thirdParty"}, priority: 1, action: {type: "block"}}
]})
Visit https://efforg.github.io/privacybadger-test-fixtures/html/ga_surrogate.html
Check the network tab and see that neither a request to Google Analytics nor apple.com appear. This means that the request to Google Analytics was blocked instead of being / before being redirected
Remove the block rule:
await chrome.declarativeNetRequest.updateDynamicRules({removeRuleIds: [5001]})
Reload https://efforg.github.io/privacybadger-test-fixtures/html/ga_surrogate.html.
Check the network tab and confirm that there is a request to apple.com, showing that the redirect rule is only applied if the lower-priority block rule is removed. The priority of the DNR rules should handle this without having to remove a DNR rule.
I have confirmed that the incorrect application of DNR rule priority happens on other top level domains, with other urlFilters, and with other redirect URLs. I confirmed that this is happening while I’ve granted my extension permissions on all websites.
I'm creating an iPad app using Xcode 26 Beta 6. I have the following simple code and web page, but when I tap the file selection button, nothing appears. Do I need to add any additional code?
code
struct SwiftUIWebView: View {
@State private var webPage = WebPage()
private let url = URL(string: "https://www.xxxx.com/")!
var body: some View {
WebView(webPage)
.onAppear {
webPage.load(URLRequest(url: url))
}
}
}
web page
<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml">
<head>
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<title>Test</title>
</style>
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
<input type="file" />
</div>
</body>
</html>
ios drop file wrong file name
I use the following simple JS code to drag file from the browser to the desktop.
Works perfect on MacOS.
onDragStart(event, ucpView) {
let file = new BrowserFile([this.file.fileContent], this.file.displayName, {
type: 'application/ucp-scenario'
});
const fileURL = URL.createObjectURL(file);
event.dataTransfer.setData("DownloadURL", `application/octet-stream:${file.name}:${fileURL}`);
event.dataTransfer.setData("text/uri-list", fileURL);
}
but on iOS it keeps nameing the file
Text1.txt
Text2.txt
...
and ignores the DownloadURL
whats the best way to get it workng on both OS?

Hi Team,
We are trying to upload a file or an image using the component WKWebView. How we can do it? Should we need to use another approach? Do you have any suggestion or any demo project? Thanks in advance!
Hello,
When I view my website (lasaluade) on iphone or ipad the top of my page bodies are cut off (3-4 first lines). However, on PC, Mac or Android everything is OK (see screenshots).
For the record, I built this site with Wordpress and Divi Builder, and I've the same result on Safari and Chrome.
Not being a developer, I don't know where to look (I just think it's iOS-related).
Have you already had this problem? Do you have any ideas?
Thanks for your help!
