I double-click it, and it doesn't install. I drag it to the provisioning profile folder, and it gets deleted immediately. It's an Apple Developer problem. I've already wiped my Mac clean twice and reinstalled everything, and I'm still having this problem.

Hi, My certificates expired and I created new ones. But now Xcode shows me in Apple Accounts status of Mac App Distribution that the Missing Private... Howto fix the missing private key? I need to sign a .pkg for upload with Transporter. Further I generated a CSR for App License Delivery ALD certificates. https://developer.apple.com/help/account/certificates/create-a-certificate-signing-request/ And with App Store Connected I created new certificates. In Xcode I had to remove the Apple Account and add it again, after altering currency. This procedure was described somewhere because Xcode was not able to connect my account. This is fixed now.

Dears, this is my first ever piece of code on Mac. I wanted to try ShazamKit. I created App Id and enabled App Service ShazamKit. I properly configured my app (a very small test app) with the proper boundle id, Team and entitlements file. I keep receiving this error in the Signing in section: Automatic signing failed Xcode failed to provision this target. Please address the following issues preventing automatic signing from creating a valid profile. Entitlement com.apple.developer.shazamkit not found and could not be included in profile. This likely is not a valid entitlement and should be removed from your entitlements file I noticed the message is mentioning "profile"...does it refer to a "Profile" as in "Certificate"/"Identifiers"/"Devices"/"Profiles"/"Keys"/"Services" option? I did not create any "Profile". I just enabled the App Service under "Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles"=>"Identifiers"=>"Edit your App ID Configuration"=>"App Services" Thx!

How do you renew a "Developer ID Application" certificate? Should there be a "renew" button on the expiration date? Or can you renew it sooner? Or are you required to create a new certificate? Does this count against your limit of five Developer ID Application certificates? I thought there was a way to renew it, but I don't see that option. I also couldn't find any Apple documentation about how to renew, only how to create and how there's a limit to how many you can create.

the iOS app store package's entitlements file has an issue. After updating to a new version to fix the entitlements file, the app still crashes upon opening but can function normally after a restart. What methods can the app side use to resolve this entitlements file issue without requiring a restart to open and use the app properly?

Hello We have a pkg installer whose signing certificate is expiring next month. It has a trusted timestamp on it. As per https://developer.apple.com/support/certificates/ it states Developer ID Installer Certificate (Mac applications) If your certificate expires, users can still install packages that were signed with this certificate as long as the package includes a trusted timestamp. Previously installed apps will continue to run. However, new installations won’t be possible until you have re-signed your installer package with a valid Developer ID Installer certificate. If your certificate is revoked, users will no longer be able to install applications that have been signed with this certificate. Wanted to check on behavior for new installations post expiration date. Since the installer has a trusted timestamp we would not need to release a new installer with new cert ?? Any guidance here would be much appreciated.

Without creating the identifier our tests result in not working push notifications. Error message while testing: discarded as application was not registered. Is the way mentioned in the WWDC session still valid? BR

Hi folks, I'm trying to generate a provisioning profile that includes both Healthkit and MusicKit entitlements. The healthKit pieces if fine, and included in the profile. However, despite selecting Musickit under services in the ID setup, the entitlement doesn't seem to be included in the profile. Other steps taken: Setup the app in App Store Connect, generated a media ID and Key. Tried both automatic and manual signing. Are there specifics tricks to getting this one to work?

Hi Apple Developer Community, I'm trying to resolve the following Xcode build error: *"Provisioning profile 'iOS Team Provisioning Profile: ' doesn't include the com.apple.developer.live-activities entitlement." To fix this, I understand I need to add the Live Activity capability to my App ID and ensure it’s included in the provisioning profile. However, when I go to Certificates, Identifiers & Profiles, select my App ID, and click Edit under "App ID Configuration," the Live Activity capability is not available in the list of capabilities. As a result, I can’t proceed with enabling the entitlement or regenerating a correct provisioning profile. I’ve confirmed: My App ID is explicit (not a wildcard). The app’s deployment target is set to iOS 16.1 or later. I’m signed in with the correct Apple Developer Team account. etc. Has anyone experienced this? We've been creating iOS apps for a few years now, but when I tried last month, I got an error in my XCode that says: No profiles for 'com.os.hub.mth2' were found Xcode couldn't find any iOS App Development provisioning profiles matching 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx'. I'm not sure if it's the cause or not, but when I look at the signing certificates, the Developer ID Application Certificate says: Missing Private Key The weird part of that is that I see a private key with this name in my Keychain access, so I'm not sure what's wrong. There has been a significant time gap between now and the last time we created a mobile app, so I'm not sure if something changed in XCode/MacOS to cause this issue, or if something expired. I'd appreciate any advice.

Hello, My project fails to build/run on a physical device or archive, due to a persistent provisioning error. Exact Error: Provisioning profile "iOS Team Provisioning Profile: com.huiwan.Ohra-Journal" doesn't include the BGTaskSchedulerPermittedIdentifiers entitlement. I have already performed extensive troubleshooting, and all local configurations appear to be correct: Capabilities: "Background Modes" with the "Background processing" option is enabled in the target's "Signing & Capabilities" tab. Info.plist: The Permitted background task scheduler identifiers key is present in the target's Info.plist, and it contains the correct task identifier (com.huiwan.ohra-journal.refresh). Entitlements File: The .entitlements file is correctly configured by Xcode. Full Reset: I have tried a complete reset procedure, including deleting ~/Library/Developer/Xcode/DerivedData and ~/Library/MobileDevice/Provisioning Profiles/, restarting Xcode, and letting the automatic signing system regenerate the profile from scratch. The issue persists. Despite all these correct local settings, the provisioning profile automatically generated by Xcode is consistently missing the required entitlement. This strongly suggests a server-side issue with the provisioning service for my App ID (com.huiwan.Ohra-Journal). I filed a bug report on the Feedback Assistant (FB20268285) a week ago but have not received a response. This issue is completely blocking my development and ability to submit the app. Could you please investigate the status of my App ID and the provisioning services associated with it? Thank you.

In our local test configurations, a developer can sign test apps for device installation using any key associated with the company team. However, if a developer accidentally chooses an identity from some other team, installation fails with no information about the problem. It just mentions that no provisioning profile could be found, leaving everyone in the dark about what is wrong. Instead, we would like to pre-validate the selected signing identity by checking the team name or id. This could be done, for example, by extracting the x509 certificate from the signing identity and checking the "OU" field (which is set to the team id). However, none of the apple commands will divulge the x509 certificate from a developer id. So far our best options is to create a fake app, sign the app, then use command: codesign --display --extract-certificates This solution seems excessively serpentine. Is there no direct command that will accept the sha of a signing identity and return a nice .pem containing the associated certificate chain? Or, better yet, is there a command that takes the signing identity and simply returns the name or id of the associated team?

I got an email with the subject "Action Needed: Developer ID Application Certificate Expires in 30 Days" But on the cert page it's not exactly clear to my how to renew the cert or generate a new one. Confused by the fact that I already have half a dozen ...somehow? Any help or guidance appreciated.

I'm trying to add signing certificate from developer.apple.com to my keychain but I'm getting to have error says "An error occurred. Unable to import certificate name. Error -25294". Certificate is valid and I can not do anything with this error. Any idea what can be the reason for this error?

I can't upload my macOS app to app store connect. Each time i try to upload, i see this message: Provisioning profile failed qualification Profile doesn't support App Groups. An empty app without an app group uploads fine, but if i add an app group to it, it does not upload.

Hey Apple Friends, We currently have an enterprise version of our app for debugging and internal distribution. Our release configuration uses our App Store account. However, it appears you cannot add a 'Declared Age Range' to the Enterprise app as a capability making it impossible to debug because we have added the 'Declared Age Range API' locally, but we cannot add it as a capability on the dev portal. Is there any work around for this?

Devices must be registered in order to run your code, but you do not have permission to register them. Please check with your team's admin. I have tried everything and still I am getting this. Just for a test I created a new app (Master-Detail template Xcode 11.5) I have created an entry in the iTunes Connect to receive the app upon archiving and uploading. I regenerated all new certificates for iOS Development and Distribution. I created all new Provisioning profiles. The Dev profile builds deploys and runs on my device The Dist profile builds but when I select the distribution profile I get the "Profile doesn't include the com.apple.application-identifier entitlement." error. When I download the profile within Xcode all looks good for the distribution profile: App ID: matches correctly Certificated: 1 Included includes the new signing certificate "iPhone Distribution...." Capabilities: 3 Included Includes Game Center, In-App Purchase, and Keychain Sharing Entitlements: 5 Included Includes application-identifier, keychain-access-groups, beta-reports-active, get-task-allow, and com.apple.developer.team-identifier. Im not sure what is going on. This is a standard process I have performed for quite a while. As a matter of fact I just submitted 3 applications last Sunday. Thank you for any suggestions.

In Xcode's (version 16.1) "Devices and Simulators" window pressing the device's context menu item "Show Provisioning Profiles..." does nothing: no new window, no message, nothing. How can I fix this?
