Our app server has subscription feature and processes purchase life cycles based on App Store Server Notification v1.
Last year, when users purchased subscriptions during the following timeframe, we received "INITIAL_BUY" notifications with "unified_receipt.Latest_receipt_info.purchase_date" set to future date(approx. 1 hour after the actual purchase).
2024-11-03 08:00:00 - 2024-11-03 09:00:00 Etc/GMT (UTC)
For example, we received the following v1 notification at 2024-11-03 08:36:33 Etc/GMT.

Our server grants subscription entitlement based on "purchase_date" so the users had to wait 1 hour before the subscription features became available.
The timeframe coincided with the end of daylight saving time in the U.S., so we assume that it affected the behavior, but our country doesn't adopt daylight saving time.
We have some questions regarding this behavior.
In countries without daylight saving time, how should we handle such notifications with future purchase date in order to properly grant subscription entitlement?
In App Store Server Notification v2, could purchase date be set to future date at the end of daylight saving time in the U.S., just as in v1 notifications?

I am using Store Kit 2 to implement In App Purchases for my app. I need to maintain a pending state in the UI for all my pending purchases. Is there a way to get a list of all pending purchases? If not, is there a way to know if my pending purchase was cancelled?

I have an iOS app, which uses around 500 in app purchases for various modules. I am using StoreKit for in app purchase, now trying to migrate this to StoreKit 2.
I am using Product.products(for:) method to fetch all the products by sending identifiers of all the 500 In app purchases.
In response, I am getting details of only 160 products, the method is not returning remaining in app purchases.
What could be the reason for this behaviour, how to get rid of the issue?
May be is this the issue will happen only on TestFlight? If someone from Apple assures about it, we have plan to submit the app.

Hello,
I noticed the Product.SubscriptionInfo subscriptionPeriod (of type Product.SubscriptionPeriod) is different for the same product between StoreKit Testing in Xcode and the sandbox/App Store (production) environment.
For a “1 week” auto-renewable subscription, we get the following:
StoreKit Testing in Xcode: 1 week gives a subscriptionPeriod with value of 1 and a unit of Product.SubscriptionPeriod.Unit.week
Sandbox/App Store: 1 week gives a subscriptionPeriod with value of 7 and a unit of Product.SubscriptionPeriod.Unit.day
This created issues in my app because I used the localizedDescription of a Product.SubscriptionPeriod to display a text similar to “$4.99 per week”. This is what I obtain with the StoreKit Testing in Xcode, but in the Sandbox/App Store environment, it displays “$4.99 per day” (because the subscriptionPeriod is “7 Days” and the unit is then .day). Obviously, this is not what I wanted to display.
Other periods like “1 month”, “2 months”, “3 months”, “6 months, and “1 year”, the period provided by both StoreKit Testing and Sandbox/App Store correspond to the period unit specified in App Store Connect.
In addition, I want to report that for a weekly subscription/offer or a 2 weeks offer, Product.SubscriptionInfo.subscriptionPeriod or Product.SubscriptionOffer.period == .weekly or .everyTwoWeeks is always false.
We observe the following:
With Sandbox or App Store live production:
1 week, Product.SubscriptionInfo.subscriptionPeriod == .weekly is false (because it’s “7 days”)
1 week, Product.SubscriptionOffer.period == .weekly is false (because it’s “7 days”)
2 weeks (offer), Product.SubscriptionInfo.subscriptionPeriod == .everyTwoWeeks is false (because it’s “14 days”)
2 weeks (offer), Product.SubscriptionOffer.period == .everyTwoWeeks is false (because it’s “14 days”)
But with an Xcode StoreKit configuration file:
1 week, Product.SubscriptionInfo.subscriptionPeriod == .weekly is true (because it’s “1 week”)
1 week, Product.SubscriptionOffer.period == .weekly is true (because it’s “1 week”)
2 weeks, Product.SubscriptionInfo.subscriptionPeriod == . everyTwoWeeks is true (because it’s “2 weeks”)
2 weeks, Product.SubscriptionOffer.period == . everyTwoWeeks is true (because it’s “2 weeks”)
So in sandbox and production, .weekly and .everyTwoWeeks is never possible.

I'm encountering an issue when trying to use the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint in the App Store Connect API.
Despite having the correct setup, I continue to receive a 404 NOT FOUND error when making requests to:
GET https://api.appstoreconnect.apple.com/v1/subscriptionGroupLookups
Here is the current state of my environment:
I am the Account Holder of the App Store Connect account
The App Store Connect API key has been successfully created
I have the correct Key ID, Issuer ID, and .p8 private key
I can authenticate and access the apps and subscriptionGroups endpoints
However, the subscriptionGroupLookups endpoint always returns:

I suspect that LookUp Keys (UUIDs) have not been assigned to our subscription groups, even though they were created and are active in App Store Connect.
There is no “Request Access” button visible under the Integrations tab (as mentioned in Apple support instructions), and my keys appear under “App Store Connect API” > “Keys” as active.
Questions:
How can I ensure that LookUp Keys are assigned to my subscription groups?
Is there a way to trigger this manually or via support?
Has anyone successfully resolved this?
Any advice or experience would be greatly appreciated.

I’m seeing a strange behavior with StoreKit 2 and I’d like to know if anyone else experienced this.
My subscription group “ROTA Premium” (Monthly + Annual) is currently Waiting for Review in App Store Connect.
What works
In Xcode’s StoreKit sandbox, everything loads correctly:
Products appear
Trial starts
Purchases work
What doesn’t work
In TestFlight and App Review, StoreKit 2 returns zero products, so my paywall shows:
“No subscription options found.”
There are:
No geo restrictions
No backend
No VPN/IP filtering
Paid Apps Agreement is accepted
App Review said the device was online, but couldn’t give technical help.
My question
Has anyone seen StoreKit 2 fail to load subscription products when the subscription group is still in Waiting for Review?
Do subscription groups need to be reviewed together with the app version for StoreKit 2 to return them in TestFlight/App Review?
Any advice would be appreciated!

Trying to test IAP in sandbox. I created the test group and tester accounts. Accepted the invite downloaded the app. Signed into to sandbox in settings with the tester account. In app the purchases are failing and throwing my catch error message product couldn't be found. I decided to test it from settings/ sandbox/ manage/ initiate purchase/ but I've been getting "can't complete transaction. Something went wrong, ant this transaction couldn't be completed. Try again later" since last week. I reached out to dev support over the phone then email and they couldn't or wouldn't provide assistance. I asked my senior at work she took a look at it and confirmed I created the IAP correctly and that my sandbox account could make test purchases in apps she make but couldn't get mine to work. The storekit test work fine in xcode I just don't know what to do now.
I enter the payment wall, there it takes more or less 3 to 4 minutes to show the plans, when I select the monthly plan the loader is shown and from there the pop up to make the purchase in sandbox does not appear, I have waited until a maximum of 50 minutes and it is not shown, I go back and close the app I do the same steps and I am still there, without showing the pop up.
Doing this same process in xcode, everything happens immediately without any interruption.
I have a renewing monthly subscription in my app and recently added upgrade possibilities to yearly and 6 month subscriptions. Those new subscriptions were reviewed, approved and published to App Store.
I'm showing a modal for users in the app from where they can upgrade their subscription. Upgrading was tested with real devices on Sandbox and TestFlight. There has been successful purchases through the in app modal in production app, and directly upgrading from App Store.
However, for some users there seems to happen a failed transaction with paymentCancelled error code during the upgrade. The IAP is still successful, their subscription is upgraded and they haven't voluntarily canceled the IAP. The localized description of the error is "Toimintoa ei voitu suorittaa. (Virhe 2 kohteessa SKErrorDomain.)" which translates to "The operation could not be completed. (Error 2 in SKErrorDomain.)"
These users have various iPhones (iPhone 12 Pro, iPhone 14 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro) with up to date iOS versions (>= 18.3.1).
I'm receiving DID_CHANGE_RENEWAL_PREF (UPGRADE) server notification of these purchases on my server.
I haven't been able to reproduce this error myself.
Any ideas why StoreKit might fail the transaction with paymentCancelled error but still successfully upgrade the subscription?

When attempting to purchase a product that has already been purchased, SKPaymentQueue reports an error instead of a success message:

In our app we are running into a few issues with pending purchases staying on receipt indefinitely.
These are consumable purchases where we received the purchase succeeded from apple but then something went wrong on our servers to validate and confirm the purchase.
At this point the purchase stays on the apple receipt indefinitely or until we confirm it.
The problem is there are lots of scenarios where we can't confirm purchases anymore (like a game world expired/banned player/etc). So there's a few things I'd like to know to see how this could be handle correctly.
1- Was the user already charged, and if yes would they ever be refunded if the purchase is not confirmed (some sort of expiry)?
2- Is there a way to cancel this sort of pending transaction directly from the app or backend?
3- If one of these users asked for a refund from apple would this clear the purchase from the receipt?
Any information would be greatI couldn't find a lot of info on this topic.

We sell magazines through a third party app platform called Pocketmags and our website. The magazines have Print, Digital and Combo options available for purchase. Also, this third party app provides the platform to read the digital version of the magazines.
Once a user buys a subscription on the website, he/she receives the email with the login information on PocketMags, where he registers his login details and can start reading his subscription. With us, the customer shares his billing/shipping address along with their email id while they make payment.
Now we have our own app where through which we want to sell these magazines and have to integrate In-App purchase for selling these digital subscriptions. How do we send the 3rd party subscription access details on email to the user if they do in app purchase?
The tutorial only says a notification will be sent, but what happens next..? what should we do about the child account..? are we blocking them..? what happens on the child account?

I want to build an app for ios using react native. preferably expo.
The app will be for recording user experiences with technology. the SLUDGE that they face while navigating through technology.
I want to have basic login, signup.
The main feature would be to have 2 recording modes.
First is record the screen and the front camera simultaneously.
Second is to record the back camera and the front camera simultaneously.
I can then patch the two outputs later on that is the screen recording and the front camera clip in post processing.
I want to know if this is possible as I was told that react native and expo does not have the support yet. if not is there any library or another approach to make this app come alive.
StoreKit ask to buy should have more data in pending state. When user try to purchase ask to buy, we should get at least transactionID, product itself, and time that user start the request. So we can keep track of the whole transaction flow
jwsRepresentation should always available for every state, actually even failing state. And should attach state inside of it. Instead of only available after verified purchase. So we can use transactionID and everything relate to transaction for both waiting for purchase and clearing up the cancel or invalid purchase
Currently we only have jwsRepresentation after complete purchase, which is very limited its usage
Hey guys, somehow I used my real ID(not sandbox test ID) to purchase a non-consumable item in the TestFlight package, no actual payment was made, but this payment record cannot be erased. Even though I know the transaction ID, I cannot initiate a refund like using refundRequestSheet().
Does anyone know how to deal with this, or there is no way to solve it?
I've been stuck with this rejection. Trial button 'greyed out' or non responsive. What they are seeing is my subscriptions not loading into the pay wall. We think its because the subscriptions haven't been reviewed and approved in order for them to populate the pay wall (activating the pay wall so it isn't 'greyed out'. Has anyone had and solved this issue?

Considering that StoreKit2 caches local raw transactions (in case user is offline), is it really necessary to persist "unlocked status" in UserDefaults or SwiftData Model or AppStorage? Are there significant delays when reading Transaction.currentEntitlements from locally stored cache, versus reading it from UserDefaults; or, as in the latest SKDemo example, even reading it from stored in SwiftData ?
