Do we need to take approval for any entitlement for the extension Unwanted Communication because currently I do not see my app in the Settings under SMS/Call Reporting extensions.

In MetricKit, a metric payload comes in with a time range which usually means it contains multiple launches/sessions. How can we relate things that will change between launches or sessions such as pid and lowPowerModeEnabled from the metadata. Will there be multiple payloads for each unique value or is there some other way to use this?

We put the apple-app-site-association file at https://ourdomain.com.tr/.well-known/apple-app-site-association. When we send a request to url, we get 200 response code every time and we can see the file. But sometimes when we try to access https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/ourdomain.com.tr url with browser or CMD tool, we are facing with 404 response code. There isn't any ip adress filter in our systems and we tried using vpn for sending same request from different locations(america and europe) but nothing changed. In addition, can anyone provide the ip list of apple cdn servers to check the F5 Load balancer WAF logs? Hi All, I’m puzzled by this issue: my app uses WeatherKit to fetch hourly UV-index and temperature forecasts. The same build, running on the latest iOS, succeeds on most devices but consistently fails on a few. Strangely, the paired Apple Watch version retrieves the data without problems. Could WeatherKit be applying per-user throttling? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

Hello, we are experiencing an issue that is not systematic regarding universal links on our application. In some cases, after the application is installed, the universal links do not open the application but instead open in Safari. We have conducted tests on several devices and with the same link. In some cases, the links open the application after installation, and in other cases, they open in Safari. I should mention that in all test cases, we did not force the opening via the menu accessible through a long press on the link. We performed sysdiagnose in the different cases and we observed the same configuration for the universal links in the swcutil_show.txt file: User Approval: unspecified Site/Fmwk Approval: approved At this stage, I do not think the problem comes from our application or the configuration of the apple-app-site-association file. Is this a known issue? Is there anything we can do on our side to work around it ?

There is an inconsistent issue when views are rendered from the Device Activity Report Extension. This issue is noticeable only on release versions and it works fine in debug mode. Around 80% of the times, the Report Views return blank screen and this is only the case when a weekly/monthly filter is used. Although, it works as expected for daily report views. My questions are: How are all the Report Activity Views working fine in debug mode but not in release mode? How the daily activity filter works fine in the release mode but the weekly/monthly filters don't work? Is this because of a memory limit issue in the extension? As of now, I have the family-controls(distribution) entitlement only for the app and for the extensions I only have family-controls(development) entitlement. Do I need to request for family-controls(Distribution) entitlement even for the extensions? I have seen threads on the forum mentioning the blank screen issue associated with the DeviceActivityReport but haven't found a solution to it. Any suggestions/feedback would be of great help, thanks.

I developed a shortcut feature for my app using the AppIntents framework, which can display a maximum of 10 shortcuts in the Shortcuts app. However, I've noticed that apps like Tesla and Porsche have a significantly larger number of shortcuts, far exceeding 10. After searching online, I found that they might be using Intent Extensions and the SiriKit framework. I customized an Intent through SiriKit, checked the option for "Intent is user-configurable in the Shortcuts app" and "Add to Siri." I can find this shortcut when I search for it, but it does not appear on the homepage or under the app category. Is there any way to resolve this?

Hi, I'm trying to add an extension to my app on iOS 26. Yet the code inside my extension seems to not be executed: breakpoints are not triggered, NSLog() calls do not appear on the console. The onInterruption() callback is also not triggered, or at least it does not appear on the console either. I've probably missed something obvious, but what could it be?

I have been trying to use TipKit popovers in my App. They all behave as expected in the simulator but on a real device I am seeing some strange behaviors. I have a couple of instances of where the tip is displaying an entire sheet instead of just the popover. In another case I cannot dismiss the Tip. Has anyone seen these behaviors and are there known issues/workarounds for this? I am reluctant to use something that works perfectly in the simulator but gives unpredictable results on a device. Not a good user experience in my opinion.

On iOS 26.2 (23C55), DeviceActivityMonitor.eventDidReachThreshold fires intermittently for a daily schedule (00:00–23:59) even when iOS Screen Time shows 0 minutes for the selected apps that day. This causes premature shielding via ManagedSettings. Environment: iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 26.2 (23C55). Event selection: 2 apps. Threshold: 30 minutes. Multiple TestFlight users report the same behavior across various app selections and thresholds. Intermittent (~50% of days); sometimes multiple days in a row. Not observed in testing prior to iOS 26.2. Evidence: sysdiagnose + Screen Time screenshots (with 0 screen time on selected apps) + unified logs show UsageTrackingAgent notifying the extension that “unproductive from activity daily reached its threshold,” followed immediately by ManagedSettings shield being applied (extension reacting to the callback). Filed Feedback Assistant: FB21450954. Questions: Are others seeing this on 26.2? Does it correlate with restarting monitoring at interval boundaries or includesPastActivity settings?

Accordingly, in my app's Info.plist I have a CFBundleDocumentTypes dictionary providing a one-element LSItemContentTypes array referring to the name 'com.universalis.ripcard', and a UTExportedTypeDeclarations dictionary associating the UTTypeIdentifier 'com.universalis.ripcard' with a public.filename-extension 'ripf' and a public.mime-type 'text/vnd.universalis.ripcard'. All the other entries in those two dictionaries are present and correct as far as I can tell. Both CFBundleDocumentTypes[0].CFBundleTypeIconFiles and UTExportedTypeDeclarations[0].UTTypeIconFiles contain a list of icon files for the file type.(That rather long paragraph is to avoid boring people by including the entire Info.plist!)Some things do work..ripf files received via AirDrop bring up a suitable "Open with..." message which mentions my app, and tapping the message opens the app..ripf files received as an email attachment display as an icon. But it is the app's icon and not the icon of the file type.BUTTapping on a received file's icon does not open the app, but only opens the generic Actions screen, offering Message, Mail, WhatsApp, Notes, and only then (after the user has scrolled sideways) "Copy to..." my app.Now, the whole apparatus of CFBundleDocumentTypes and UTExportedTypeDeclarations is obscure and under-documented, and indeed the main documenation for the latter has a big warning at the top saying that it is obsolete and not being updated. We recently released an update to our app to prepare for TX SB2420. Almost immediately on release, we started getting crash reports of crashes when calling isEligibleForAgeFeatures. Crashed: com.apple.root.user-initiated-qos.cooperative EXC_BAD_ACCESS KERN_INVALID_ADDRESS 0x0000000000000004 Is it possible that these are beta users that have IOS 26.2 RC or is there a bug in the release version of IOS 26.2? Note: The crash reports are coming from Crashlytics so we are not getting OS build identifiers other than version "26.2"

I am trying to set up a message filter extension that will use shared web credentials for basic auth when calling to its ILMessageFilterExtensionNetworkURL. I have associated domains set up for both "messagefilter:" and "webcredentials:" and the message filter IS correctly calling the ILMessageFilterExtensionNetworkURL with each message - so that part is working. As detailed here, I have set up Shared Web Credentials and my view controller is using SecAddSharedWebCredential() to save the creds to the correct domain. Using Authorization services, the creds are auto-filled into my app's login screen. When I go under Settings > Passwords, I see the creds are saved and they are the correct creds to the corrent website that matches ILMessageFilterExtensionNetworkURL. Regardless of all of this, the deferQueryRequestToNetwork() refuses to use the creds and implement Basic Auth in its URL call. It makes the call to the correct URL, it just won't use the Shared Web Creds for basic auth. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Using Apple SwiftUI Translate library: when calling: try await session.prepareTranslation() the first time, the API's Language Download sheet does not show (or shows briefly and dismisses immediately) Even when the sheet doesn't show, the keyboard is lowered, as though the sheet would be appearing, but then the keyboard raises as though the sheet was dismissed. The following Errors are printed in the console dozens of times; but on all subsequent executions, the API Language Download sheet shows as expected. The trigger code is in a function which is executed when a Translate button is tapped. Any ideas would be welcome! This will be disallowed in the future. I am not sure how to understand it: I have removed every NSNumber.self in the allowed lists for decode. To no avail, still get the avalanche of warnings. What is the key NS.objects about ? What may allowed classes set: '{( "'NSArray' be referring to ? An inclusion of NSArray.self in a list for decode ? The type of a property in a class ?

I am seeing a weird behavior of the date formatter (Full code is below). When run, this will give the following output: 57: 1 month, 3 weeks, 5 days 58: 1 month, 3 weeks, 6 days 59: 2 months 60: 2 months, 1 day 61: 2 months 62: 2 months, 1 day 63: 2 months, 2 days So both 59 days and 61 days are 2 months, and both 60 and 62 days are 2 months and 1 day. This of course is especially weird because this means, 2 months also comes after 2 months and a day. We have found a large number of memory-related crashes in iOS18, and multiple issues have finally pointed to this crash line xzm_xzone_malloc_tiny_outlined. Do not know how to solve it now

In a project having both an app and a website, the following two website urls are to be handed over to the corresponding app: https://www.example.com/search?plus https://www.example.com/search?query=something In AASA file, this becomes: "components": [ { "/": "/search", "?": { "plus": "", "query": "?*" } } However, finally it does not work for both urls. Only the one with "query" works by hand over to app. For investigation, I have tried this for the problematic link: "components": [ { "/": "/search", "?": "plus" } and this works. How can I get both to work? (note that for the sake of brevity, only a portion of the AASA files are shown)

When selecting a stroke path for object on PKCanvas, the option "Snap to Shape" appears. I understand this function is still in beta and has not made available natively to other PencilKit app. Is there a way using Stroke API to call this function directly after the user hold pencil for half a second when stroke is done drawing, just like how it behaves in native apps?
