I have installed the macOS 26 WWDC beta on a secondary volume, and set it up with two user accounts (both administrators).
However, the options for switching users without fully logging out are nowhere to be found.
The topic is still included in macOS Help and is shown when searching for “fast” in System Settings, however, the option is hidden/missing in the pref pane when selected.

Hello,
In production, a large number of users experience outgoing call reporting fails with the following error:
com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction Code=2
The iOS version doesn't matter, errors are present in v15-26
Details
My CXProvider held as a global singleton, so it’s unlikely to be deinited.
There is no explicit call to CXProvider.invalidate() in the app.
If I manually invalidate the CXProvider, I observe the expected failure when trying to create an outgoing call (com.apple.CallKit.error.requesttransaction error 2).
However, If I recreate the CXProvider after the error, outgoing calls are reported correctly.
Many users trigger the providerDidReset delegate method (CXProviderDelegate) before this error.
According to the documentation, providerDidReset can be called by the system, and we are supposed to end all active calls, but the documentation doesn't suggest recreating the CXProvider.
Question
Should I recreate CXProvider after providerDidReset and forget about that, or could this error be caused by something else?
My ASA file is located here https://staging.docyt.com/apple-appsite-association It downloads fine. It does not have .json extension and neither does it reside inside the ./well-known folder. Should it work? Because opening the link https://staging.docyt.com/reset-password is not opening the app installed via TestFlight . Installing via XCode however works fine. Please help
Hello everyone.
I use Translation Framework in my application. During development everything was fine, Translation framework worked well, but after two or three days of using the production version (that was published in AppStore and available for others also!) - my application stopped working. Translation framework gives errors:
Error sending 1 paragraphs Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Failed to translate input 0; returning error: Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Received unbridged NSError to API, converting to .internalError: Error Domain=TranslationErrorDomain Code=16 "Translation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Translation failed, NSLocalizedFailureReason=Offline models not available for language pair}
Once again - it worked when I developed it, it was released on the AppStore, and suddenly it stopped working!
I'm working on building a Text Messages Filter Extension app and currently facing the below error:
"Cannot find 'ILMessageFilterExtensionConfigurationManager' in scope".
As required the app includes MessageFilterStatusManager.swift file, with the host app designated as the Target Membership.
App minimum deployment is set to iOS 17.6 and I'm working with Xcode Version 26.2.
If anyone has encountered this error I'd appreciate your feedback.
Hello,
After being in the AppStore for more than a year with the app working perfectly, yesterday I started seeing that WeatherKit requests failed with
Failed to generate jwt token for: com.apple.weatherkit.authservice with error: Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
Encountered an error when fetching weather data subset; location=<+41.40217108,+2.20023642> +/- 0.00m (speed -1.00 mps / course -1.00) @ 13/12/25, 12:20:35 Central European Standard Time, error=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors 2 Error Domain=WeatherDaemon.WDSJWTAuthenticatorServiceListener.Errors Code=2 "(null)"
I checked on developer.apple.com and we still have everything turned on and
No changes were made from an already deployed app; and we pay 200$ a month for WeatherKit, this is unacceptable since it's not the first time WeatherKit randomly decides to stop working.
More fun facts: the widget works fine...
app packged with Xcode16 crashed on iOS12 certainly. My question is:
is it known issue for Apple team?
to resolve this issue, what can we developers do?
This is
Hi everyone, on iOS, when a VoIP call arrives and the user accepts it from the lock screen (after unlocking with Face ID/Touch ID), is there any way to automatically bring my app to the foreground and show the in-app call screen, instead of staying in the system CallKit UI?
We appreciate your suggestion to use the Apple Developer Forums. However, we must respectfully request further escalation of this issue beyond the forums for several critical reasons:
Severity and Scope: This is not a general development discussion topic. We are facing a massive, reproducible performance issue on iOS 16 that renders devices unresponsive, requiring factory resets or DFU restores. This goes far beyond typical app bugs and points to a potential systemic issue in the OS's image handling.
Insufficiency of Forum Support: While the forums are a valuable resource for community advice, they cannot provide the official, in-depth technical diagnosis from Apple engineers that this situation demands. Our users' devices are being bricked by an app update that passed App Review, and we require clarity on the root cause to prevent further damage and restore user trust.
Code-Level Support Eligibility: As members of the Apple Developer Program, we believe our issue falls under the purview of Code-Level Support, as described on the Apple Developer website 9. Our problem involves "building or running software" and requires expertise in Apple's frameworks and hardware-level image rendering APIs. We request that our case be forwarded to that specialized team.
To reiterate the core problem: Our update introduced 1024x1026 JPEG assets into the Asset Catalog. On iOS 16, this causes severe overheating, freezing, and device unresponsiveness. Replacing them with PNGs completely resolves the issue. This suggests a potentially serious regression in iOS 16's JPEG decoding or memory management pipeline.
We prepared to provide a sample project that demonstrates the issue if required. Our case number is 102678393572.
We urgently need to understand why this happens at the OS level to ensure our app is safe and to contribute to the stability of the iOS platform. Please escalate this case to the appropriate technical team for a detailed investigation.
Sincerely,

Hello,
I have an app that emulates an NFC card using NFC HCE.
Since yesterday I saw an increasing number of crashes on iOS 26 only, which wasn't there before.
From what I can see, it seems the app crashes when the NFC presentment intent is shown and 60 seconds passed and user does nothing. The app just crashes after 60 seconds.
On previous iOS versions, I know that CardSession.Error.maxSessionDurationReached was thrown after 60 seconds.
Is something changed in iOS 26?
Since iOS 18.4 and macOS 15.4 updating the calendar of an (ek)event (to another accounts calendar) or detaching an repeating event throws an error while saving:
"Access denied"
EKEventStore.save(event, span: .thisEvent, commit: true)
catch {
"Access denied"
}
iOS Message Filter Extension - deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) error
I made a test app using the iOS App template and added a target using the Message Filter Extension template which invokes deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) when receiving an SMS.
The app and the extension have same "Associated Domains Capabilities" with "messagefilter" pointing to a server which receives query requests and returns proper responses. The extension has the "ILMessageFilterExtensionNetworkURL" key in Info.plist file which specifies the server URL.
deferQueryRequestToNetwork(completion:) throws a com.apple.calls.messagefilter error which reads "Extension's containing app (appID ) unauthorized to defer requests to host "
In my Catalyst app I use
func setupMailComposer() {
// Check if the device can send email
guard MFMailComposeViewController.canSendMail() else {
print("Mail services are not available")
showMailErrorAlert()
return
}
// Create and configure the mail composer
let mailComposeVC = MFMailComposeViewController()
mailComposeVC.mailComposeDelegate = self
// Set the email details
mailComposeVC.setToRecipients(["example@example.com"])
mailComposeVC.setSubject("Subject for your email")
mailComposeVC.setMessageBody("This is the body of the email.", isHTML: false)
// Attach a file (optional)
if let filePath = Bundle.main.path(forResource: "example", ofType: "pdf"),
let fileData = try? Data(contentsOf: URL(fileURLWithPath: filePath)) {
mailComposeVC.addAttachmentData(fileData, mimeType: "application/pdf", fileName: "example.pdf")
}
// Present the mail composer
self.present(mailComposeVC, animated: true, completion: nil)
}
Since I have updated to macOS 15.1 the canSendMail() function returns false although I have configured Apple Mail (like before in 15.0 where it worked flawlessly).
In my application, I use CallKit and have supportsHolding = true set. During my phone call, another call comes in (e.g., GSM). I accept the incoming call and put the current call on hold.
If I end the active call myself, everything is fine, and CallKit calls the
method provider(_ provider: CXProvider, didActivate audioSession: AVAudioSession).
However, if the other party ends the call, the second call remains on hold. In the application, the user clicks on unhold, and I notify CallKit that the hold has ended.
But in this case, the didActivate method is not called at all. If I try to activate the audio myself after unhold, I receive the error:
Domain=NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code=561017449 "Session activation failed" UserInfo={NSLocalizedDescription=Session activation failed}
AVAudioSessionErrorInsufficientPriority == NSOSStatusErrorDomain Code: 561017449
What needs to be done for CallKit to activate my audio?
We are integrating Apple’s DeclaredAgeRange SDK. To comply with relevant regulatory requirements, our understanding is as follows:
The app is only required to obtain the declared age range for users located in Texas.
For users outside of Texas, we should not proactively request age range information.
Accordingly, we would like to confirm the following:
Are we required to present the age range request prompt to all users in the United States?
If yes, we are concerned that this may significantly impact the overall user experience.
If it is permissible to request age range only for Texas users, how can we reliably determine whether a user is located in Texas on the client side?
For example, does Apple provide an API or recommended method for accurately identifying a user’s region (specifically Texas)?
I have universal links configured for my iOS app which work as expected when the app is installed. When the app is not installed the universal link will go to the browser as expected.
What I want to do is redirect to the app store, allow the user to install the app, then redirect them to the initial universal link. Redirecting them to the app store isn't the hard part I can achieve that from the webpage, however I don't know how to save a reference to that initial link to redirect them once they instal the app.
What I want the flow to be for a user who doesn't have the app is:
visit a universal link (example.com/UUID)
redirect to the app store and install the app
open the app and redirect to example.com/UUID
I've seen some ways people are doing this with the clipboard but I don't love that solution, I also don't want to use a 3rd party service if I can avoid it - how are the 3rd party services making this happen?
Hi All,
I am facing one problem in my app.
That is open battery settings from my app.
It is working fine in iOS 16.0.0 and it's not working in iOS 18.6.1
is it possible to make it workable in iOS 18.6.1?
If so How to do that?
Please help me over this to resolve the problem.
Thanks,
Nguyen Quang Minh
I have also tested this on iOS 26 (Beta 9 and above), and the CallKit call blocking functionality is not working. Numbers that should be blocked still ring through. Caller Identification continues to function as expected, but blocking entries (addBlockingEntry) are ignored.
In iOS 18 (beta 1-4) when you set openAppWhenRun = false in your AppIntent of your live activity the perform function never gets called.
In iOS 16 and 17 my live activities work. I have downloaded other apps and in their live activities any button tab which doesn´t open the app is also doing nothing in iOS 18.
Has anyone got this working? Any comments from an Apple engineer on this?
We have a problem in a scenario that SIM lock is disabled so after a phone reboots it has the Internet connection but it is still locked.
When you call into the VOIP app the app is not being launched as the result (it seems reasonable because it wouldn't be able to access the keychain items etc...) but the OS still seem to enforce the rule that the app needs to report the new incoming call.
When we then unlock the app we can see no more pushkit pushes are arriving (dropped on the floor in the console) but we get the three initial pushes that were send during the locked phase right after the app launch.
