Hello,
I'm working on implementing Live Caller ID Lookup, but I noticed that https://github.com/apple/live-caller-id-lookup-example redirects to https://github.com/apple/pir-service-example.
Could you please clarify why this redirection occurs?

We've been using the WeatherKit API for a few years now. Everything has been pretty stable. We'll periodically get 404 errors, but they usually disappear within a couple days.
Starting March 5th we've again been getting 404 errors that slowly ramped up to March 20th and continued. We have had no code changes on our end, so something seems to have changed / broken on the server side of things.
Here are some example API calls that are giving us a 404 error now
https://weatherkit.apple.com/api/v1/weather/en/35.9981205/-78.8920444?dataSets=forecastDaily&dailyStart=2025-03-21T05:00:00Z&timezone=America/New_York&countryCode=US
https://weatherkit.apple.com/api/v1/weather/en/41.4789363/-81.7404134?dataSets=forecastDaily&dailyStart=2025-03-21T04:56:00Z&timezone=America/New_York&countryCode=US
Does anyone have any insights or information on this?
Also if Apple is listening, an error more meaningful than 404 would be much much appreciated.
Hi,
I developed an iOS app which will do SMS filtering by following this documentation. https://developer.apple.com/documentation/identitylookup/sms-and-mms-message-filtering)
I built the app and send Test Flights to different testers. All the Testers from Sri Lanka (an asian country) says filtering is working and they can see all the enabled categories on the Messages too (including iOS 26). But the testers from Mexico cannot see the categories and filtering is not working.
On official documentation there is nothing about supported countries. But I found true caller article https://support.truecaller.com/support/solutions/articles/81000406341-how-do-i-enable-sms-filtering-on-iphone mentioning it support only few countries for SMS filtering.
Currently available in the following countries: India, Nigeria, South Africa, Kenya, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka.
Our previous Categories filtering are still available for: Australia, Bahrain, Canada, Ghana, Tanzania, United Kingdom, United Arab Emirates, United States of America, Zambia
Following article https://clearstream.io/blog/ios-26-iphone-new-text-message-filtering is saying some categories are supported by only Brazil and India.
Still I could not find any official documentations saying different country supports.
Hi,
My app is going to consist of 2-3 pages of weather data. Do I have to add the Apple Weather logo to each page, or just the main one?
Thanks,
Dan Uff
I have a question regarding CarKeyErrorCode in the CarKey framework.
I plan to use the following methods in the CarKey framework:
CarKeyRemoteControl.start
CarKeyRemoteControlSession.vehicleReports
CarKeyRemoteControlSession.perform
RemoteKeylessEntryAction.ExecutionRequest.results
Each of the above methods throws an Error. Are these different from CarKeyErrorCode?
Is CarKeyErrorCode only used in CarKeyRemoteControlSessionDelegate.remoteControlSession(_:didInvalidateWithError:)?
If methods 1-4 do not return CarKeyErrorCode, what kind of Error do they return?
Thank you in advance.
Hello everyone,
I would like to know if there is any way for an iOS app to automatically access a user’s total Screen Time (for example, daily or weekly usage) and then share this with friends so they can compare results, like in a “Screen Time battle”?
Thanks you very much for you help!
I've discovered a bug in the Phone app on iOS related to how long verdicts are displayed.
When a call is identified by a third-party Caller ID app, long verdicts display correctly during the call (they auto-scroll) and in the call log (with an ellipsis at the end). However, on the call details screen, the text is strangely truncated - showing only the beginning of the string and the last word.
For testing, I used this verdict: "Musclemen grow on trees. They can tense their muscles and look good in a mirror. So what? I'm interested in practical strength that's going to help me run, jump, twist, punch."
I'll attach a screenshots demonstrating the problem:
Hi everyone,
I’ve removed my App Clip completely:
Deleted all Advanced App Clip Experiences
Removed the App Clip target from my build
Removed App Clip references from my apple-app-site-association file
Deleted the meta tag from my website:
But when I scan the QR code, the App Clip card still appears with:
"This App Clip is not currently available in your country or region."
Does anyone know why this is still showing and how to fully remove it? we need to show our website when this QRCode is scanned.
Thanks!
My use case is a Repeat Timer app.
The user can configure a repeating timer, say:
8 minutes with 3 sets
So I would like to configure either 3 alarms (8mins, 16mins, 24mins) or a repeating alarm (8mins every 3 mins)
BUT...
I would like the first and second alarms to break through but only for 5 seconds for example, and then stop (so the user doesn't need to tap the screen to silence the alarm).
I don't think this is possible after reading the API docs, but am asking the question anyway.
Thanks for any advice or guidance here, and happy WWDC!

My app updates are repeatedly rejected under Guideline 2.3.6 – Accurate Metadata, with a request to remove “Age Assurance” unless the feature can be located.
However, the app does include age assurance. During onboarding, users must enter their date of birth, and users under 16 are blocked from completing registration and using the app. The app contains a women’s health blog and a community Q&A feature (similar to Reddit), where users can ask and answer health-related questions. For this reason, I am considering restricting access to users 18 and older.
Each time I explain this to the review team and provide a screenshot of the DOB screen, the app is approved.
What is the correct way to document or surface this in App Store Connect so reviewers can easily find it and avoid repeated rejections? Is a DOB gate sufficient for Apple’s definition of Age Assurance?
Widgets on the widget is not responding to the touch properly. This issue is also affecting within the home screen widget in a way that the widget switches to light mode by itself even though I am in dark mode. Additionally, lock screen does not to respond once the lock screen widget has been edited. Is anyone else having this issue?
Is there any way to use blockedApplications to hide all apps in a category? Currently, I use blockedApplications to hide individual apps, but it doesn’t work when I select an entire category. I thought the only solution would be to use shield, which doesn’t hide the apps but creates a blocking shield.
However, I found an app on the App Store called Fokus, and it’s able to select a category and block all the apps in it. Does anyone know how this could be possible?
We're having trouble with getting Siri to hand off specific trigger words to our app via shortcuts. I want to be able to say "Hey Siri Myappname Foobar" but in some cases if Foobar is the name of a specific business it may launch maps instead showing locations of those businesses. Is there any way to inform Siri, "no, *****, launch our app as the shortcut specifies!"
Hi,
I’m building an iOS self accountability app using FamilyControls and DeviceActivity. I can show the user’s real Screen Time correctly inside a DeviceActivityReport extension on a real device, but I want to use that same daily total inside the main app for today’s log and leaderboard.
What I’m stuck on is getting that value back into the app. I tried App Groups, shared UserDefaults, a shared file in the app group container, and CFPreferences, but the report still only works as a display and the main app never receives the total.
Is there any Apple supported way to use the daily Screen Time total from a DeviceActivityReport extension inside the containing app, or is this intentionally display only?
Thanks.
I had published an App which App Clip is supported. I have receipt complaints from user where the user will keep showing the "Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions Have Changed" right after user click on the "Open" button in the App Clips.
What I had tried:
Let user switch the current logged in Apple Id region to one of our support region.
Log out and log in with an Apple Id which had no issue.
Issue Description:
When the snooze alarm and a set alarm share the same time, the behavior differs between locked and unlocked screen states.
The current issue occurs when the screen is unlocked and the device is on the home screen before the alarm goes off:
Alarm A is set for 17:23, and the snooze button is tapped when it rings.
Alarm B is set for 17:25.
At 17:25, Alarm B first vibrates and then rings (no buttons are pressed at this time).
A few seconds later, it vibrates a second time.
After that, the alarm becomes silent.
If dynamic/notification alarms are disabled, the next scheduled alarm rings normally.

How can I use the Screen Time API to set a restriction for a child account from my app running on the parent’s account?
Hi Apple Developer Community,
I'm implementing MetricKit launch performance tracking in our iOS app and need clarification on two properties:
histogrammedTimeToFirstDraw
histogrammedOptimizedTimeToFirstDraw
The Documentation Problem:
The official MetricKit documentation provides minimal explanation of these properties beyond their names. Based on naming conventions, I initially assumed:
histogrammedTimeToFirstDraw = cold launches
histogrammedOptimizedTimeToFirstDraw = warm/optimized launches
Based on our measurements:
The “optimized” metric appears only in a small fraction of launches
The "optimized" metric is actually slower
The naming suggests the opposite behavior
Questions:
What specific launch conditions does each metric measure?
Why would "optimized" launches be slower and less frequent?
Is histogrammedOptimizedTimeToFirstDraw related to iOS app pre-warming or prediction features?
If these metrics don’t correspond to cold vs. warm launch times, is there an alternative way to measure them accurately?
Any clarification from Apple or insights from developers who've tracked these metrics would be greatly appreciated.
If I have, say a doctor appointment in the Calendar app, and I'm leaving to go to it, the address will appear in Apple Maps on CarPlay. Forgive if I'm getting the details wrong, but I believe if I bring up the Map, it will be available to tap on, so I can quickly go there. I think it may also show up on one on the car-play screens that shows a few different panels.
The point is, I really like this feature, and want to do it in my app.
In my iOS app, the user can order food from a restaurant, and pick it up. I'm not ready to make this app a "quick service" app, but I want to give the user an easy to get to her location. Since I just ordered food, this means that I'll need to leave fairly quickly to go to the location. The Calendar app is able to offer a location because of scheduling, I'd like to do the same.
From some moment of time, Universal Links stopped working for our app.
As per my understanding, application reinstall or update caused system to fetch AASA file from CDN, which started to reply with 404 for our domain (https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/app.link.digidentity.eu).
In the meantime, nothing has changed inside our app or on our BE (https://app.link.digidentity.eu/.well-known/apple-app-site-association).
Executing "curl -v https://app-site-association.cdn-apple.com/a/v1/app.link.digidentity.eu" returns following result
