When integrating the Wallet Extension, after clicking my app icon from the "From Apps on Your iPhone" list, I encountered the message: "Cannot Add Card. '***' is not responding. Wait a few minutes and try again. If the problem continues, contact the card issuer's customer service" instead of the configured login page appearing as expected.
What could be causing this issue, and how should I resolve it?

Hi!
I am working on automating the Apple Pay integration process in our CI/CD pipeline and would like to confirm whether a fully automated setup is currently possible for our preproduction environment.
Right now, our process is as follows:
A certificate is generated for the root domain and for each individual merchant subdomain.
Both certificates are manually uploaded to our preproduction servers to test and verified via HTTP.
We’d like to automate this flow in GitLab CI, mainly the generation of the necessary certificates programmatically or via API. However, from my research, it seems that Apple does not currently provide an API or any support to automate this task, but I’d like to confirm this directly with you.
Is there any official support or workaround for this kind of automation?
If not, do you have any plans to provide it in the future?
Thanks in advance for your help.
Hi - I have a question. I am trying to understand when Apple Pay will be available on non-IOS desktop devices (specifically Google Chrome). I was hoping to understand better the process, specifically the following:
How can I get the Apple Pay QR code installed on my desktop checkout page on Google Chrome?
How long does this process usually take?
If I work with Stripe, do I need to get approval from them to install the Apple QR code onto my Google Chrome checkout page?
Is this readily available to all merchants (i.e., installing Apple Pay on Google Chrome)/
I have not seen this on any other checkout pages yet. Are there any examples you could point me to of merchants that have installed Apple Pay onto non-IOS desktop so I could trial the process (i.e., a list of existing merchants that have put the QR code onto their Google Chrome checkout pages)?
PLATFORM AND VERSION
iOS
Development environment: Xcode Version 16.2 (16C5032a), macOS 14.6.1
Run-time configuration: iOS 26
DESCRIPTION OF PROBLEM
We would like to seek clarification on how to determine whether a card used via Apple Pay is a credit or debit card before sending the transaction request.
Currently, we can retrieve the card type information (credit/debit) from the Apple Pay response payload, but this is only available after the payment has been processed.
However, we need to determine the card type in advance, as our system calculates and applies transaction fees based on the card type, which should be added to the total transaction amount before submission.
Could you please advise if there is any parameter, API field, or pre-authorization mechanism available to identify the card type prior to initiating the transaction request?
We would appreciate your guidance or any related documentation for implementing this.
STEPS TO REPRODUCE
Initiate Apple pay
Payment from Apple pay
Getting payload
we can retrieve the card type information (credit/debit) from the Apple Pay response payload, but this is only available after the payment has been processed.
We need to identify if there's any way to know the card user selected(whether it is credit/debit) before processing the payment.
We are looking for sample payload for merchant registration API.
We have tried to test the api and getting an error.
Request:
curl --location 'https://apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant'
--header 'Content-Type: application/json'
--data '{

"partnerInternalMerchantIdentifier": "merchant.test.netvalve",
"partnerMerchantName": "Test"

Is there a way to allow ApplePay to make deferred payments to a suite of stores, or will each store need the user to initially approve a payment manually?

Hi,
We’re a franchise business with over 100 franchisees, and each franchisee has their own unique Merchant ID. We're building a single app that allows customers to place orders, and based on the selected franchisee, the payment needs to be processed through that specific franchisee’s merchant account.
However, when we integrate Apple Pay and publish the app, it asks us to provide a payment gateways' Merchant ID, but we don’t use just one – we have many.
How can we handle this situation? Is there a way to dynamically use multiple Merchant IDs in one app, depending on which franchisee the customer is ordering from?
Apple Pay processed a transaction but the account has insufficient funds. Later the transaction is declined. Is it expected from Apple Pay? Does Apple Pay throws an error if the account has insufficent funds- iOS Swift ?
Does anyone know the code to handle this scenario in Swift iOS?
Hi team,
I'm currently trying to add a specific subdomain (with a path) to Apple's Sandbox domain list, but it seems Apple only allows the main domain to be entered.
Due to strict client security policies, we aren't allowed to use just the main domain, which is creating a roadblock in our implementation.
Is there any way to add a full subdomain or URL path to the Sandbox configuration? I'm happy to join a call to explain the scenario further if that would help.
Thanks in advance for your support!
Hi All,
We operate a store with a single domain but multiple merchants, some of whom use PayPal as their payment gateway, while others use Stripe. We are looking to introduce Apple Pay for the various merchants. From what I understand, a .well-known file is required for each merchant to enable Apple Pay. How can we implement this, given that our merchants are using different payment gateways?
Best regards,
Joe
Hello Dear Network,
We are developing a banking application and are implementing Apple Wallet
In-App Provisioning with Wallet UI and Non-UI extensions.
Our App Store submission fails with the error:
"Missing entitlement com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning"
for both Wallet UI and Non-UI extensions.
In the Apple Developer portal, we do not see the "Apple Pay" or
"In-App Provisioning" capabilities available for our App ID or
extension App IDs.
We would like to request enablement of:
Apple Pay
Payment Pass Provisioning
In-App Provisioning
for our Apple Developer Team and related App IDs.
Please let us know what we need to do for can upload build with that Entitlements, what can be problem?
Thank you.
I've completed the setup required for in-app push provisioning on the iOS platform.
Encountering an issue at the completion handler step while sending data back to the PassKit framework.
The delegate method used is:
func addPaymentPassViewController(completionHandler handler: @escaping (PKAddPaymentPassRequest) -> Void)
The error observed is:
Error Domain=PKPassKitErrorDomainCode=2 which is PKUnsupportedVersionError
The device used for testing is running iOS version 17.4.1.

I am attempting to verify my domain
https://technoq.genesistechnologies.tech
for use with Apple Pay Merchant ID. However, when I attempt verification, the process fails with the message:
“Domain verification failed.”
Unfortunately, no additional details are provided.
I have already completed the following steps:
Downloaded the verification file apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt.
Placed it in the .well-known directory as instructed.
Confirmed that it is publicly accessible at:
https://technoq.genesistechnologies.tech/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association.txt
Verified that a valid SSL certificate is configured for the domain.
Could you please advise on why the verification might be failing and what additional steps I should take to resolve this issue?
When apple pay on the web does a onshippingcontactselected it appears to truncate the zip code.
If I enter:
11111
or
11111-1111
I always get 11111. Is there any way to get the plus 4?
We have an app and we want to add tap to pay for Apple Pay. We'd also like to become a certified Payment Service Provider. What is the process to become a certified PSP?

Hello,
We are implementing in-app provisioning in our fintech app; the card issuer is a third party, so we have limited control and visibility. We have ruled out the causes we could investigate on our side and on the card issuer’s side.
We are reaching out to ask for your help in understanding what is going wrong so we can fix it.
What happens:
User taps “Add to Apple Wallet” → we present PKAddPaymentPassViewController → they tap Next → after a few seconds the flow fails with "Set Up Later" alert.
Device log:
ProvisioningOperationComposer: Step 'eligibility' failed with error <PKProvisioningError: severity: 'terminal'; internalDebugDescriptions: '(
"eligibility request failure",
"Received HTTP 500"
)'; underlyingError: 'Error Domain=PKPaymentWebServiceErrorDomain Code=0 "Unexpected error." UserInfo={PKErrorHTTPResponseStatusCodeKey=500, NSLocalizedDescription=Unexpected error.}'; userInfo: '{
PKErrorHTTPResponseStatusCodeKey = 500;
}';

Can i use apple pay integration into my web iframe?In my situation, canMakePayment() returns null when i check browser support apple pay or not in Iframe
Hello,

https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaypaymentrequest/3955945-multitokencontexts
According to this document, I know that I can initialize a multiTokenContexts when initializing ApplePayPaymentRequest.
But I am now facing a tricky problem. If the user's order does not require multiTokenContexts, then I will not initialize this field when I first make ApplePayPaymentRequest. When the user is in the payment process, I may update multiTokenContexts. But this time, the update is not allowed, ApplePay will be cancelled and the payment will be closed.
For example, if the user's address in Apple Pay is different, I need to update multiTokenContexts to support the payment of goods to multiple merchants, which will generate an update of multiTokenContexts. MultiTokenContexts can be updated in the onshippingcontactselected method.
https://developer.apple.com/documentation/apple_pay_on_the_web/applepaysession/1778009-onshippingcontactselected
My question is that from the beginning, there was no multiTokenContexts to update multiTokenContexts in onshippingcontactselected, which would cause the user to close the payment and need to manually click to pay again.
This user experience is not very friendly. Is there a better way for me to go from no multiTokenContexts to multiTokenContexts without interrupting the user's payment process?
Hi everyone,
I am new to Apply Pay, but I have already implemented IAP for subscriptions in my app. My app also has other functionalities, it also acts as a person-to-person marketplace, as users can post events or online courses which can be bought by other users to participate.
My question is that I have read Apple's review guidelines but it is still unclear for me if I can use Apple Pay (with for example Stripe) or do I still need to use IAP for this online content.
Also non profit organizations also can register which can recieve donations, can I also use Apple Pay for that or do I still need IAP there, because it would be nice if Apple would take 30% of donations.
