suppressing express mode when using widget
we are currently using the requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression API in my app. to prevent the Wallet interface from appearing when an NFC/RF reader is detected during active app usage. Recently, a new transit card supporting Express Mode (T-money Transit Card) was released in Korea, and we are seeing an increasing number of users enabling Express Mode. However, this has introduced an issue where users are unable to use the BLE-based functionality we provide via our widget. Specifically, when the user taps our widget, it triggers a BLE signal broadcast for approximately 10 seconds. In this scenario, when the user brings their iPhone close to our reader, Express Mode is activated before the BLE interaction can be established. This prevents the BLE signal from being successfully received and processed. We would like to ask: Is it possible to suppress Express Mode behavior (similar to requestAutomaticPassPresentationSuppression) even when the app is launched via a widget interaction? Alternatively, is there any way to delay or defer Express Mode activation temporarily when launching from a widget or during BLE communication? We would appreciate any guidance or best practices you can share regarding this scenario. Thank you.

Payment not completed in Apple Pay
We have an Apple Pay account and have successfully created and verified the payment processing certificate in our Apple Developer account. When initiating an Apple Pay payment, the Apple session is created successfully with the correct data return from api , but it is not accepted with the error: “Payment not completed.” The issue occurs even though the merchant validation step works without errors. Our websites where this is happening are: https://magicdeliver.com/ https://www.pulsarmodular.com/ Could you please help us identify the cause of the issue and guide us on resolving it?

Clarification on Apple Pay Domain Verification File Behavior
I'm implementing Apple Pay in my Flutter web app and I'm following the guidelines for domain verification using the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file. When I access the file at https://mydomain.com/.well-known/apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association through my web app, the browser silently downloads the file instead of displaying its content on the webpage. My question is: Is this the expected behavior for the apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association file? Should the browser download the file silently, or is there another step required, such as displaying the content on the webpage for verification purposes? I've consulted some resources and they indicate that the file download is the correct behavior. However, I'd appreciate confirmation from the community to ensure I'm implementing the verification process correctly. Summary is how do we know if apple has verified it?

How to use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit services correctly?
During the development of our 3D game project, we encountered high memory usage requirements. To address this, we enabled Apple’s Extended Virtual Addressing (EVA) and Increased Memory Limit services. We have confirmed that both services were enabled in the developer backend as well as in Xcode, and we also used updated development and distribution certificates when building the app. However, in our validation process, it seems that EVA and Increased Memory Limit are not taking effect — the game still experiences memory overflow and crashes. Could you please advise: The correct steps to properly use Extended Virtual Addressing and Increased Memory Limit; How we can confirm whether these services are functioning as expected?

Apple Pay
We are an acquirer/payment provider offering Apple Pay. Our merchants use our hosted checkout to accept payments. After a user pays with Apple Pay on our checkout, the Wallet transaction record shows our checkout domain as the payee. We would like it to display the merchant’s brand/name so users can recognize or contact the merchant. Is there any parameter or configuration that controls what Wallet shows as the payee? For example, can this be set via a specific field/parameter, or is it strictly derived from the Merchant ID’s display name (or other Apple Pay configuration)? What is the correct approach for a PSP/acquirer to have the merchant’s brand shown in Wallet transaction record? Additional detail: The field in question is the merchant/payee name shown in the Apple Wallet receipt—directly under the transaction amount at the top of the receipt, and again beneath the “Total” line.

Card details in the Wallet app shows as "Something went wrong. Try again later"
I'm encountering an issue with Apple Pay on both Wallet and the Watch app where the app name is not showing up on the back of the payment card(Card details). The pass was successfully provisioned, and everything seems to be working, but the expected app name or brand isn't displayed, and instead, I see the generic "Something went wrong. Try again Later" message. Do we need to configure something to get this displayed in Wallet app?

Error generating domain certificate
I’m having an issue verifying a domain for a Merchant ID. I’m implementing Apple Pay on the web for a demo, and I’ve configured the Azure server to match Apple’s requirements for domain verification, such as the TLS configuration, not requiring client certificates, and ensuring there are no redirects. I’ve run tests with OpenSSL and PowerShell and all responses return HTTP/1.1 200 OK. I also tested the URL Apple says it uses to validate the file under .well-known, and it does show the expected result. I already have the Apple Pay Payment Processing Certificate and the Apple Pay Merchant Identity Certificate approved; the only thing missing is the domain verification. I’m not sure what else to test—if you could help me with a possible solution, I’d really appreciate it. (The project is built in .NET 8 and hosted on Azure App Service.)

NotSupportedError, The payment method is not supported
What am I missing in my checking for whether or not to offer Apple Pay on my website? <script async crossorigin src="https://applepay.cdn-apple.com/jsapi/v1.1.0/apple-pay-sdk.js" ></script> ... <style> apple-pay-button { display: none; } </style> ... <apple-pay-button buttonstyle="black" type="plain" locale="en-US" onclick="startApplePay('${APPLE_PAY_MERCHANT_ID}','${paymentForm.amount}');"></apple-pay-button> So, the button is not displayed by default. I only change the style to displayed if: window.onload = function() { if (isApplePaySupported()) { document.querySelector("apple-pay-button").style.display = "inline-block"; }; } function isApplePaySupported() { return (window.PaymentRequest && window.ApplePaySession && ApplePaySession.canMakePayments() && ApplePaySession.supportsVersion(applePayVersion)); } Yet, once in a while a click comes through that tries to create a PaymentRequest with const applePayMethod = { "supportedMethods": "https://apple.com/apple-pay", "data": { "version": applePayVersion, "merchantIdentifier": merchantIdentifier, "merchantCapabilities": [ "supports3DS" ], "supportedNetworks": [ "amex", "discover", "masterCard", "visa" ], "countryCode": "US" } }; and results in: NotSupportedError, The payment method is not supported What else might be "not supported" in the request for this particular user/device/wallet? In particular, that could be known immediately when the PaymentRequest is created, but before any payment instrument from the wallet is selected? And, is there anything I could detect before showing the button? Or, is it even possible for the button to be clicked by some kind of automation, even if it's not displayed?

PKPassLibrary returning empty array in Non-UI Wallet Extension
Hello, We are implementing Apple Wallet extensions (PKIssuerProvisioningExtensionHandler). While our UI extension works as expected, our Non-UI extension is unable to detect payment passes provisioned by our app. Specifically, PKPassLibrary().passes(of: .secureElement) returns an empty array when called from the Non-UI extension, even though the same call correctly returns the passes when executed from the Main iOS App. Our Payment Network Operator has confirmed that our extension bundle identifiers are correctly registered in the metadata on their side. They suggested that the Wallet Extensions entitlement (com.apple.developer.payment-pass-provisioning) may require additional backend enablement for these specific Extension App IDs. Is there a known reason why PKPassLibrary would behave differently in the Non-UI extension vs the Main App? Beyond the standard entitlement request, is there a specific process to "activate" these IDs for extension visibility? Does anyone have guidance on reaching the appropriate team for backend entitlement activation issues? Any insights would be greatly appreciated.

Domain verification
Hello! We are using "Apple Pay Web Merchant Registration API" https://developer.apple.com/documentation/applepaywebmerchantregistrationapi Recently we successfully updated the Payment/identity certificates at our main merchant ID And we have a few questions: Do we need make the Domain verification for all of our sub-merchants again after the Certificates update? How we can check the expiration of domain verification of merchants that we integrate trough API endpoint (https://apple-pay-gateway.apple.com/paymentservices/registerMerchant), and do verified domains via API have an expiration date??? How we can understand does the our universal domain verification file (apple-developer-merchantid-domain-association) have expiration too? Thanks in advance!

How to test iap (subcription) purchase?
Hi :) I'm new to app store connect, and I just want to verify what does it take to be able to test subscription for a new app that isn't approved yet using sandbox? Or is this not possible that the app has to be approved first? More context below: My app is a new app, I only submitted for review and I linked the subscription from the app’s In-App Purchases and Subscriptions section on the version page when submit it for review. It got rejected for now. When the app review status is both in-review and rejected, I've tried to test my subscription, where there is a button (like "subscribe"/"become a member") in my app that user can click on, which it calls ios's IAPProvider.startMembershipPurchase, I just get Error: [IAPService] Product not found: [<my_subscription_id>]. I ensured my subscription's product id in app store connect matches with the one in my code. I can see the "rejected" status both on my app and the subscription. So can anyone help clarify if the app has to be approved first in order to test subscription? Or am I missing any other setup? Or it might just be my code? Thanks in advance! Any info is super helpful!

iPhone iWatch sending ATQB response during ECP polling causing detection of collision
Hi Support, When the applepay express transit option is used on emv payment cards, like this iPhone - Open “Settings” → “Wallet & Apple Pay” → “Express Transit Card”. And a emv single card has been enabled under Express Transit And on transit reader Apple Enhanced contactless Polling support is provided, ( with VAS not supported, user authentciation not supported) Sometimes ATQB response also comes from the iPhone or iWatch instead of the ATQA response, and then it causes the transit reader to report as collision error in the polling. Sequence of the packets: WUPA WUPB ECP frame WUPA WUPB ATQB WUPA ATQA

Additional certificate problem of Apple Pay E-Commerce
Dear Apple team and developers, We integrated Apple Pay E-Commerce on our system and made successful transaction at January using following certificates. Merchant Identity Certificate (generated from our Apple developer account) Payment Processing Certificate (generated from our Apple developer account) Payment Session Server Certificate (used following command and generated from apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com:443 test URL) Command: openssl s_client -connect apple-pay-gateway-cert.apple.com:443 -key MIC_priv.key -cert MIC_merchant_id.pem -showcerts | openssl x509 -outform DER &gt; apay_ident_trusted_cert_test.der Root CA G3 (Downloaded “Apple Root CA – G3 Root” from https://www.apple.com/certificateauthority/ ) But at this month, we got new certificate problem (please check following) when we try to execute Apple Pay E-Commerce transaction. Certificate 'C=US,O=Apple Inc.,OU=Apple Certification Authority,CN=Apple Application Integration CA - G3' is not valid Certificate. What is this certificate? And Where can I download or generate this certificate from? Could you please advise/give us good information for this certificate problem? Best Regards, Bilguun Enkhbaatar

Inquiry Regarding Apple Pay Currency Support
Team, We are currently checking out on Apple Pay using ALL and MRU as currencies. We have authorized the payment via Touch ID; however, we are not receiving the onPaymentAuthorized event. Could you please confirm if Apple Pay supports ALL and MRU currencies? We have confirmed that it works with other currencies. Thank you!

Stability issues with Apple Pay Sandbox Cards
We are writing to report a recurring stability issue with the Apple Pay sandbox environment. We are using the official sandbox test cards provided on the Apple Developer website for our testing: https://developer.apple.com/apple-pay/sandbox-testing/ We are experiencing frequent, intermittent failures when attempting to add these sandbox cards to the Wallet for testing purposes. The issue typically occurs a couple of times per day. When the failure occurs, the card provisioning process fails unexpectedly. The issue is not limited to a single card; we have observed this behavior across all available card networks. In some instances, all cards (Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Amex) fail to provision simultaneously. At other times, the issue appears to be isolated to specific networks while others work correctly. Crucially, the issue appears to be temporary. After some time passes (ranging from minutes to an hour), we are able to add the exact same card successfully without making any changes to our test environment or configuration. We have diligently checked our setup to rule out configuration errors on our end. This includes verifying: The device is set to a supported region. We are signed in with a valid sandbox tester Apple ID. All other prerequisites for sandbox testing are met. The fact that the process works correctly at other times strongly suggests that this is a server-side stability issue within the Apple Pay sandbox environment rather than a persistent misconfiguration on our part. To help with your investigation, we have attached an image that demonstrates a failed attempt to add a card. Could you please investigate the stability of the sandbox card provisioning service? Please let us know if this is a known issue or if there is any further information we can provide. Thank you for your time and assistance.

Replacement For Expiring Merchant Identity Certificate Validation Issue
We are on a .NET ecommerce site hosted on AWS on a windows 2012R2 server. We have apple pay for the web integrated on the site and the certificates (merchant id and apple pay) were set to expire shortly. We created a new merchant id and apple pay cert, however we are now stuck as the new merchant ID certificate doesn't appear to be working although the old one did. Note there have been no code changes. Basically the apple pay process is failing on the merchant validation. Here are the steps we took: Created a CSR in Keychain Access Generated a Merchant ID cert in the Apple Developer account with that CSR. Imported the Merchant ID cert back into Keychain Access and exported as a p12 file the cert and the private key used to generate the CSR. Imported the p12 file into Windows 2012 R2. I can see in our debugging that the new certificate is being loaded but a SSL/TSL connection couldn't be made. So it seems there is an issue with the cert. Has anyone encountered this? I'm out of ideas at this point and under a lot of pressure from management to fix what was supposed to be a routine maintenance issue. If anyone has any ideas, that would be greatly appreciated.

Apple Pay on the Web Merchant Validation Intermittent 403 Forbidden
We are experiencing intermittent 403 Forbidden errors during Apple Pay on web merchant validation in our production and sandbox environment. Has anyone else started seeing 403 Forbidden errors recently (since mid-2025)? Why would merchant validation be sometimes successful and sometimes fail with 403? Could this be related to new Apple Pay gateway changes or stricter validation rules? Any additional debug steps or permanent solutions we should try? Thank you.
